This is really neat! It's an old vintage. Possibly antique but I'm unsure how to tell it's age, picture frame, marked'Made In France' on the back. I think it's brass with gold gilt, but I'm not sure- you'll have to look at the pictures and judge for yourself. p It's got an interesting easel back, and also has an intriguing old black and white photo of a girl in it, which looks like it might have another photo underneath, but I've not taken it apart to find out- I'll leave that mystery up to its new owner. The glass is there, but it does have a small crack on the right side- you can see it in the pictures, to the right of the photograph. It has exquisite detailing, and a pretty French bow on top. 9 Pc Lot Vintage Antique Greek Grape Maidens Decorative Wall Panels Boards OLD! This is a lot of 9 antique wall panels. They have a"dancing Greek maidens and grapes" theme. These are like an early form of wallpaper and are made of a substance similar to cardboard. Each one measures 32 1/2" long by 24" wide. These are quite old- from the late 1800's. All of them have frayed edges and general wear from age. These are quite delicate. And must be handled with care. Below is a more detailed description of the pieces in no particular order. They don't match up exactly with the pictures. But we tried to take as many as possible to show all the types of damage here. 1. 3 corners are bent. Triangular crack across bottom about 5" long, 1 corner is torn and creased, small chunk out of the top 2. Right side is torn free ... morewith its corner bent. 1 corner missing, 1" long tear on the top, small flap torn 3. 1 detached corner. 3 torn corners, 4 scratches on the bottom, small 1/2" square chunk missing from the bottom, 12" tear on the top 4. 2 torn corners. 1 bent corner, 11 1/2" tear down the right side 5. 1 bent corner 6. 1 corner missing 7. 1 very lightly bent corner 8. 2 torn corners. Antique Vintage 1940's Magnolia Blooms Framed Lithograph Prints Eugenia Grant
Up for auction is a great vintage set of framed lithographs from the 1940's. Check out picture# 6 and you will see how much my grandmother paid for these. How long ago do you think it's been since one can buy something like this for $1.98? The frame is an early composite made from saw dust and some sort of binder and is a little on the fragile side but seems stable. These used to belong to my grandmother who died back in 1966 and have been in storage in my parents garage since. These. Here is one of my vintage yardlong oils. I have been painting them for about 15 years and sold them at my vintage shop in the LA area. I also sold many on ebay about 7 years ago. This lovely tribute to mom dates from the 30's or 40's. It features a well-loved poem from that era. A Wonderful Mother" by"Pat. O'Reilly" Colors of the print are soft yellows and pale greens. With corners, borders, and other highlights in metallic gold which catches the light. The original textured wood frame has the same gold highlighting, along with a strip of dark red. Please zoom in to see the details, such as the small flowers that are painted at the end of verses. Back covering is in tact. With a few small rips from wear and age. The original wall hanger is still attached, and this piece would fit well on a display stand. It is 7 5/8 inches wide, and 5 5/8 inches high.
