Beautiful 107 year old Cram's map of Idaho.
This is a large 1903 Crams map of Idaho. It measures 14 1/2 X 22 inches. This map is genuine. Not a copy or reprint. It may have a few handling flaws as to be expected in a map this age and large. Please enlarge upper scan for condition of map. Map was taken from the Cram's Modern Atlas which is near impossible to obtain. We take special care in shipping these maps as there are no replacements. Compare our low price for this map with similar offered by the largest map dealer in the United States. Murray-Hudson whom can be found through google. Better yet, check out how much and how rare a map is from Cram's Modern Atlas using Google. Or go to worldcat.org and find out how many of these are in the major collections of Universities, libraries and historical societies. Vintage 1963 USGS Map - Casino Lakes Idaho V Good Cnd T
1963 USGS Topographic map of Casino Lakes. Idaho, Custer County, N4407.5-W11445/7.5, Made from photographs taken in 1957, field checked in 1963. AMS 3072 III NE-Series V893. 22" x 27" size. I don't see any cities or towns anywhere on the map. It mainly consists of the Challis and Sawtooth National Forests. These are in almost the exact center of Idaho. The lowest altitude is around 6000' and goes up to Chase Lookout Mountain- 9954' but there may be points higher and lower. The map is in very good condition. With good color, no significant tears or rips, no marking or writing. The map has been in a roll since the 1960s with the bottom of the map exposed to the air. This exposed part is slightly darkened and dirty, as visible in the main photo. There are corner holes from pins and there is a fold along the bottom of the ... moretopographic part of the map. The paper is also quite yellowed. I usually ship USPS. But I look at other ways to get the lowest cost. I will combine shipping. Shipping weight 2 pounds in a mailing tube. This brochure is five panels printed both sides measuring about 8.5" x 4" per panel or about 20" x 8.5" folded out. The front cover panel reads in part: PRIEST RIVER Gateway to Beautiful PRIEST LAKE in the North Idaho Scenic-Land- Priest River is located on U.S. Highway No. 2 and the main line of the Great Northern railroad. At the junction of the Priest and Pend Oreille rivers- the vacationer's paradise This brochure has a large pictorial map that covers four of the five panels on one side titled"Priest Lake Recreation Area Priest River- Kaniksu National Forest" The verso has a montage of photos and ... moregeneral information about recreation in the Priest Lake and Priest River area of Northern Idaho. The pictorial map has great detail showing were several lodges and related points of interest were located around Priest Lake along with small cartoon figures engaged in fishing. Skiing and other recreational activities. The map is signed"La Casse" so I presume that is the name of the person that did the artwork. This map is not dated but the Albeni Falls Dam Site is shown as"Proposed" and construction on that dam began in 1950 so I would date this to the late 1940s. This map is fully complete and well intact. The front cover panels has some toning to the paper from age while the map is clean and very suitable for framing or display. Up for auction is an antique vintage large Post Office Postal Route map of the state of Idaho. It measures approximately 33 x 48 inches. It is dated February 1953. It has been folded in 16th and the only tear that I see is in the photo near the date and scale. It has been marked on with what appear to be crayons circling various cities in various colors. This is an authentic post office map and was used at the Council Bluffs Iowa postal station. On the back is stamping and markings like in the photos. It will come folded and it its original manilla envelope. This is a very large and awesome map and would be very suitable for framing for a large conversation piece! For auction is a set of three vintage 3D relief maps. Maps cover the following areas: Western United States Scale 1:250.000 Grangeville. ID#NL 11-8 Pullman. WA#NL 11-5 Baker. OR#NL 11-11 Maps measure approx 28"29"x21" All the same scale. The first two maps were made by Hubbard. The third made by US Army Map Service. Maps are in good condition. No cracks or breaks. Plastic is still flexible, not brittle. Packed in original plastic bags. Will be safely wrapped and packed for shipping. I do my best to describe my items as accurately as possible.
