This is a genuine antique artifact relic that I dug up in my back yard by accident in 1993.My property is 50 feet x 150 feet as is the house to the left and the house to the right.All three house were built in 1915.I believe that if any one that lived in this house before me had lost this piece in the yard it would have been very easy to find as it is huge.I think it has been in the ground for a very long time. Lot of 3 Vintage Antique Catholic Relics including Leather Handmade Embroidered Sacred Heart Up for auction is a fabulous collection of relics. The sacred heart I believe is made out of leather. Is stuffed and dimensional and embroidered all around. It has a small stain on the edge and has yellowing(see photo) but is in great condition. The silk demi-lune relic has beautiful orange embroidery and is marked on the back of the paper holder"Germany" The paper is worn and yellowed and has slight staining but otherwise in great condition. The embroidery is in great condition. The medal is a relief of Ven. Padre Pio Brunone Lanteri. It is marked"Italy" and has wear on the front and back. This is a superb original bronze cast. By Élie-Jean Vézien, who was born in Marseille on 18 July 1890 and died in Marseille on 7 September 1982. He was a French sculptor, engraver and medalist. This was his first commission for a medal. And it honors St. Thérèse(known as“The Little Flower” the medal is inscribed on the reverse with a quotation from her autobiography: Je veux passer mon ciel a faire du bien sur la terre. I shall spend my Heaven doing good upon earth. It is part of a small lot of items we just received on consignment for auction from one of the Carmelite convents we work with. Antique glass dome on wooden stand. Overall height on stand measures 15" tall. Fitter of the glass dome measures 5.5" diameter. Overall diameter of the base measures 7.25" The wooden base has three ball feet and displays a brass banner plaque that reads"Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Pray for Us. The piece meant to hold an icon or relic under glass. The wooden base has a hole in the center for mounting of the object inside. The base and dome are in excellent condition for their age showing only light signs of wear. RARE Antique S. Vincent de Paul German Monk Friar's Catholic Rosary Bronze Medal
Bishop Paul Leonard Hagarty was a beloved friend of my mother Bertha. The founder of Church-Woman Antique. He was also the first Bishop of Nassau. And served previously as Vicar Apostolic of the Bahamas Islands. His estate items are on consignment for auction thanks to a friend of St. John's Abbey, where he spent his final years. This piece weighs 18 grams and its diameter is 1.5 inches long; it dates from the 19th century and was dicovered on a fragment of rosary.
