We are offering this amazing Antique Solid Bronze Vintage YOUNG CHRIST TABLE CHAMBER PLAQUE RELIC with EASEL BACK. This plaque is an original in unmolested condition with original patina. The plaque has a high relief cast scene of a young Christ shedding tears for the faithful. The scene is absolutely wonderful with much detail. The back has a hinged easel so it can be displayed. I believe this to be an original late 19th century piece most likely made in continental Europe. The size of the plaque is 5 3/8" tall by 5" wide by 3/4" deep. The attached easel is 5 3/8" long and sits at approx 30 degrees. An absolutely interesting religious piece for any collector.

This is another relic from the estate of a French Archbishop's extensive relic collection. This is a relic of Saint Joseph's staff or walking stick. The relic is labeled: S. Joseph Sp BM. Saint Joseph, spouse of the Virgin Mary There are no first class relics of Saint Joseph. Ancient church tradition says he was assumed into heaven. Like the Blessed Mother, but this is not church dogma. There are 3 different relics associated with and venerated for Saint Joseph; his cloak. His staff and his belt. This relic is from his staff. The main relic of his staff is encased in silver and kept in the Hermitage of Camaldoli in Central Italy. The staff St. Joseph holds comes from an apocryphal tale. According to The Golden Legend. Several men besides Joseph wanted Mary's hand in marriage. Each suitor, the story goes, was instructed by the ... morehigh priest to place a staff on an altar. I tried to take pictures, but it is hard because they are so small. The filigree work in this reliquary is incredibly detailed. The reliquary has a little hook at the top. The back comes off to reveal a very well cared for relic. The wax seal with details and the threads are in place. It measures 1 1/2 inches x 1 1/2 inches. The relic is identified as"Ex Praes. D. N. Carmelite Relic – Shard of the Cross of Jesus Christ pp7102
Some items really don’t need a description. And a piece of the cross of Jesus Christ is one of them. The shard is housed in a metal case that is in great condition. There is some discoloration of the metal due to the age of the piece. But that’s on the back. The front appears very nice. The card on the inside which holds the shard is also in great shape. There doesn’t appear to be any fading or discoloration. This is truly a rare and magnificent item. This relic was given as a gift to my grandfather by the Carmelite order for his dedication and work for Mount Carmel high school in Chicago. Along with other acts. The order stood by the genuine authenticity of the relic, but we have no way to“prove it” one way or the other. This is so Rare and unusual. I really don't know what to say. This is an ANTIQUE ENGRAVING HOLY FACE RELIC CIRCA 1911 engraving of Jesus. This was written in Latin. I don't read Latin. But I was told, translated, the title is HOLY FACE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. THE TRUE EFFIGIES. This is framed and has 2 wax seals. Frame has wear. The Holy Face of Jesus from the image of VERONICA'S VEIL. The Veil is kept in in ST.PETERS BASILICA in Rome. This measures roughly 14" x 22" with the frame. The back of frame is loose and you may or may not want to re-frame it. You can learn more online about the holyfacedevotion. I was amazed to be able to find and purchase at auction. It was sold to me as an authentic piece from 1911. Please take a look and decide for yourself. I honestly get a humbling feeling being around it and it deserves ... morea better home than mine.
