A beautiful 3rd Class Relic. St. Maria Goretti on prayer card and a Portiuncula or Porzionculai church(St. Francis of Assisi) cross, both blessed by Pope Pius XII in 1951. St. Maria was a virgin martyr beatified(1947) and canonized(1950) by Pope Pius XII. The Portiuncula, Mother Church of the Order of Francis(where the Order of Franciscans formed) is near Assisi, Italy, where St. Francis lived most of his life. It is said that Christ spoke to and appeared to St. Francis in the Portiuncula. The S. Goretti card is in excellent condition, vivid color, no wear on the card or edges, seal sticker(dated 1949) is intact and undamaged. The Portiuncula cross is also in excellent condition. These items are leftover from a consignment of a now, sad to say, closed Jesuit retreat house. Guaranteed authentic.
