A beautiful copy of a Mesker's county Map for Clallam County Washington. The map is fully intact. The cover is firmly attached to it's fold out map. When fully unfolded the map measures 20 inches wide and 46 inches long. As you can see in the pictures, it does have a few small dogears along the fold lines on the bottom, an one pea sized stain just in from the center left edge. Metsker's is a family owned business located in Seattle WA, for over 60 years. This is not a reproduction, a truly rare find and in excellent condition for such a delicate item. 1943 Vintage State Map of West Virginia and Washington
Dimensions: 16x12in or 41x31cm. This is an original antique double sided page or leaf from the 1943 WWII Wartime published Encyclopedia Britannica Atlas. Please note that this is not a lot for two separate images but rather this is a page with two sides. Each with a map of it's own. There are some condition issues with this map: minor discoloration along the page edges and brittle paper. No major tears or creases or holes. It is in largely Good to Very Good condition. Given it's age. Please see pictures for details. On one side is the state of West Virginia featuring an inset of the Northern Portion of West Virginia. There is also in the top left corner of the map a numbered list of railroads that were present across the state at the time of it's printing. On the other side is the state of Washington. Vancouver. Tacoma, Seattle ... moreand Everett are all in a larger print. With the Columbia River and the coastal details, especially with Puget Sound, this makes for a very beautiful map. Either side would be very handsome matted and framed. This is a delicate map that needs to be handled carefully and should be stored flat or framed under glass. 1932 map of IDAHO and UTAH including SALT LAKE CITY. Seeing the ad for the WHITE CAFE. In IDAHO, I guess the Arian Nation was there in 1932. All White help, good home cooking by women cooks" Wonder if they are still in business? The rest of the map is full of other outdated ads- all electric and one even brags about having radios! All the phone numbers are only 3 digits. There is 2 tiny spots where the folds intersect and it has tiny holes worn. Inside is clean, outside 2 pages(covers) have gotten dirty. All original. This is a 1931 map of Oregon. It is from a scarce Cram's Atlas. The map measures 11.25 X 15 inches. It is in near mint condition showing only minor handling. Buyer will get a printed out page size copy of the index page. This is superior to any"Certificate of Authenticity" which are normally printed out on the sellers own computer. We send this to prove map was extracted from this extremely rare atlas and to help with insurance appraisals as the map will surely increase in value. There are a few reasons this map is rare. And more difficult to obtain than a Cram's map of the late 1800's. In 1931 the United States and the World was in a catastrophic depression. Thus Cram's did not print as many, and very few people had the money to buy this atlas. Most surviving copies are the ones in Libraries and Universities. Up for auction is an antique vintage large Post Office Postal Route map of the state of Idaho. It measures approximately 33 x 48 inches. It is dated February 1953. It has been folded in 16th and the only tear that I see is in the photo near the date and scale. It has been marked on with what appear to be crayons circling various cities in various colors. This is an authentic post office map and was used at the Council Bluffs Iowa postal station. On the back is stamping and markings like in the photos. It will come folded and it its original manilla envelope. This is a very large and awesome map and would be very suitable for framing for a large conversation piece! This USGS map is an original 1911 reprint of a 1904 edition of a 1901-1902 survey preformed by R. U. Goode with triangulation by W. T. Griswold. For being more than 100 years old. It is in surprisingly good condition. Current towns shown are Riddle, Canyonville, Wolf Creek and Merlin. This historical map shows Schools, ranches, mines, railroads in addition to prominent geographical features such as Cow creek and the south Umpqua River. This area of southern Oregon was and still is a hot bed of mining activity. Since this was produced before roads(pavement) they aren't named.
