This is an extremely rare type of reliquary with a substantial relic of Saint Auralia. Martyr. There were 2 Saint Aurelias who were martyrs, but when I obtained this relic from the estate of a French Archbishop, the family had an inventory, hand written by the Archbishop. He had this reliquary listed as"Ste. Aurelie Peyronelle. Saint Auralie Petronell was said to be Saint Peter's daughter. But, if you scroll down and read her biography, you will see current church thinking. She was martyred in the 1st century. This reliquary is made of hand blown glass. Surrounding the holy relic is white wool. The relic is labeled S. Aurely M. It stands 4 1/2 inches tall and 2 1/4 inches in diameter. The reliquary is sealed with parchment. The reliquary contains 10 rare first class relics: Saint Philomena. Saint John the Baptist, Saint Rose of Lima, Saint Joseph, Spouse of BVM, cloak) Ex Praesepio DNJC. From the crib/manger of our Lord Jesus, Domus Laurentus, the house of the holy family in Loretto, Saint Peter Apostle, Saint Paul Apostle, Saint Aloysius Gonzaga, and Saint Lawrence Lev, Martyr. 10 relics in all. The back has a beautiful red wax seal. This is an authentic linen Veil of Veronica. Licensed by the Vatican to have the image of the Sacred Face of Christ impressed upon this piece of linen, which is then touched to the original Veil of Veronica, and blessed by the Church, where it is stored in St. Peter's Basilica, the Apostle of Rome. Veronica was said to be the lady who used her veil to wipe the blood and tears from Jesus' face as he bore the execution cross through the streets to his eventual death. Later. When the veil was being examined, the image appeared and intensified on it.
