You are bidding on a nice vintage Catholic reliquary medal containing a relic of St. Francis of Assisi. The medal is cross-shaped. On one side is the ... moreimage of St. Francis. Encircled by the Italian words"Polvere della tomba di S. Francesco Assisi" Literally translated this means"powder of the tomb of St. Francis of Assisi" On the other side is a chamber containing the relic- a pale tan granular material on a red fabric background. The relic covers an area that measures 3/8 of an inch by 2/8 of an inch in size. The sealed tomb of St. Francis beneath the main altar of the lower basilica in Assisi was excavated in 1818. The saint's remains were exhumed and placed in a new crypt underneath the lower basilica. This tomb was reopened in 1978 so a scientific study of the saint's remains could be done. The powder appears as if it could be rock dust from the tomb. The entire medal measures 7/8 of an inch by 3/4 of an inch. Including a loop at the top for hanging. This reliquary medal of the beloved patron saint of animals is in very nice pre-owned condition. The image of St. Francis is still crisp and the reliquary chamber is intact and undamaged. Please email with questions. Domestic shipping is by your choice of USPS First Class Mail package or Priority Mail Small Flat Rate box. With tracking and insurance. Wax seal and threads are intact. You are bidding on the theca. The relic is a gift to the highest bidder. Feast Day 13 June Biography Anthony’s wealthy family wanted him to be a great nobleman. But for the sake of Christ he became a poor Franciscan Priest. When the remains of Saint Berard and his companions. The first Franciscan martyrs, were brought to be buried in his church, Anthony was moved to leave his order, enter the Friars Minor, and go to Morocco to evangelize. Shipwrecked at Sicily, he joined some other brothers who were going to the church in Portiuncula. Lived in a cave at San Paolo ... moreleaving only to attend Mass and sweep the nearby monastery. One day when a scheduled speaker failed to appear, the brothers pressed him into speaking. He impressed them so that he was thereafter constantly travelling, evangelizing, preaching, and teaching theology through Italy and France. A gifted speaker. He attracted crowds everywhere he went, speaking in multiple tongues; legend says that even the fish loved to listen. Miracle worker. One of the most beloved of saints, his images and statues are found everywhere– though none of them portray him as a heavy-set man, which some reports claim he was. Proclaimed a Doctor of the Church on 16 January 1946. One source of the well-known patronage for the recovery of lost objects comes from a legend that. Long after Anthony’s death, his old prayer book was kept as a treasured relic, and one day it disappeared. People prayed for help in finding the lost item, a novice found it and returned it; he later admitted that he had“borrowed” the book and returned it after receiving a vision of an angry Anthony. Born 1195 at Lisbon. Portugal Died 13 June 1231 of natural causes Canonized 30 May 1232 by Pope Gregory IX at Spoleto. Italy Patrona

St Patrick Patron Saint of Ireland Seals and Treads Intact Rare Priest Find
Beautiful Old Relic of St Patrick Patron of Ireland. Seal and Treads Intact Synopsis Born in England arguably in the late 4th century A.D. St. Patrick was captured by pirates as a child and brought to Ireland. During his enslavement, he was called to Christianity and escaped his captors after six years. He returned to Ireland as a missionary, and in his teachings, combined Irish pagan beliefs with Christian sacrament, devising the Celtic Cross. He is annually honored on March 17. Early Life St. Patrick. Apostle of Ireland, was born in England circa 385. His father, Calphurnius, was a deacon from a Roman family of high social standing. His mother, Conchessa, was a close relative of the great patron St. Martin of Tours. St. Patrick's grandfather, Pontius, was also a member of the clergy. Surprisingly, St. Patrick himself was not raised ... morewith a strong emphasis on religion. Education was not particularly stressed during his childhood either. Later in life, this would become a source of embarrassment for St. Patrick, who in the early 440s, would write in his Confessio, I blush and fear exceedingly to reveal my lack of education. When St. Patrick was 16 years old. He was captured by Irish pirates. They brought him to Ireland where he was sold into slavery in Dalriada. There, his job was to tend sheep. Saint Patrick's master, Milchu, was a high priest of Druidism, a Pagan sect that ruled religious influence over Ireland at the time. St. Patrick came to view his enslavement as God's test of his faith. During his six years of captivity. He became deeply devoted to Christianity through constant prayer. In a vision, he saw the children of Pagan Ireland reaching out their hands to him. With this, he grew increasingly determined to free the Irish from Druidism by converting them to Christianity. Missionary Work Circa 408. The idea of escaping enslavement came to St. Patrick in a dream. In the dream, a voice promised him he would find his way home to England. Eager to see the dream materialize, St. Patrick convinced

RELIC Badge of St.Padre Pio Laminated 2 1/2" x 2" In English Most Popular Saint
St.Padre Pio who bore the Passion of Christ for just over 50 years but he gave his body to Christ to use so that people could see that the Passion of Our Lord was anything but very unpleasant. St. Padre Pio wanted to share in the Passion of the Death of Jesus& so for over 50 years he bore the holes in his hands. Feet, side. He lost over a cup of blood a day. He loved to say Mass& the Eucharist was the most precious item that he could talk about! For over 12 hours a day he labored& toiled in the Confessional listening to the confessions of the people who flocked to see him. They knew that he was a holy man, that he had the Stigmata(the Passion showing on his body)He could also read minds, bi-locate, levitate, more. But sometimes he would be in the confessional& someone did not reveal all of his sins, Padre Pio reminded them ... morethat they had to say a very good confession. But the Eucharist was his bread& his life. He died in 1968 just 50 years after his stigmata. Good Luck! by adding my eBay Store to your FavoritesCheck out my!Be sure to add me to your! She was known to levitate up to two feet in the air while praying. She received Communion from an angel. And had visions of the Virgin Mary. She held the infant Jesus in one of these visions; when she woke from her trance she found she was holding the small gold crucifix the Christ child had worn. On the day she was chosen abbess as a teenager. Small white crosses showered softly onto her and the congregation. She could feed the convent with a handful of bread. Once she’d prayed over it. Where she knelt to pray. Violets, lilies and roses would suddenly bloom. While being treated

Patron Saint Against Intestinal Disorders Click to see supersized image Click to see supersized image Click to see supersized image Click to see supersized image This auction is for a silver color theca containing an important relic of St. Timothy. Wax seal and threads are intact. You are bidding on the theca. The relic is a gift to the highest bidder. Feast Day 22 January. Eastern Orthodox Church; 26 January, Roman Catholic; 23 January in Australia; 9 May(translation of relics) Biography Saint Timothy is mentioned in the Bible at the time of Paul's second visit to Lystra in Anatolia. Where Timothy is mentioned as a"disciple" Paul calls Timothy his"own son in the faith" Timothy often traveled with Paul. Timothy's mother was Jewish and his father was Greek. He was ordained and went with Paul ... moreon his journeys through Phrygia, Galatia, Mysia, Troas, Philippi, Veria, and Corinth. His mother, Eunice, and his grandmother, Lois, are noted as eminent for their piety and faith, which indicates that they may have also been Christians. Timothy is praised by Paul for his knowledge of the Scriptures, and is said to have been acquainted with the Scriptures since childhood. That Timothy was jailed at least once during the period of the writing of the New Testament is implied by the writer of Hebrews mentioning Timothy's release at the end of the epistle. It is also apparent that Timothy had some type of stomach malady. Owing to Paul's advice in 1 Timothy 5:23, counseling Timothy to"No longer drink water exclusively, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments. Paul commanded Timothy to remain in Ephesus(1 Timothy 1) I command you to stay there in Ephesus" to prevent heresy from infecting the church in Ephesus. Paul also gave Timothy instructions for establishing Elders and Deacons there. These very guidelines have become the commonly used guidelines among churches across the world to this day. According to later tradition. Paul

France on January 28, 1572, the daughter of the royalist President of the Parliament of Burgundy. She married the Baron de Chantal when she was 20 and then lived in the feudal castle of Bourbilly. Baron de Chantal was accidentally killed by a harquebus while out shooting in 1601. Left a widow at twenty-eight, with four children, the broken-hearted baroness took a vow of chastity. Her Mother, Step Mother, Sister, first 2 children and now her husband had died. 1] Chantal gained a reputation as an excellent manager of the estates of her husband. As well as of her difficult father in law, while also providing alms and nursing care to needy neighbors. During Lent ... morein 1604. The pious baronness met Saint Francis de Sales, the bishop ofGeneva who was preaching at the Sainte Chapelle in Dijon. They became close friends, and de Sales became her spiritual director. With his support, and that of her father and brother(the Archbishop of Bourges) and after providing for her children, Chantal left for Annecy, to start the Congregation of the Visitation. The Congregation of the Visitation was canonically established at Annecy on Trinity Sunday, 6 June 1610. 1] The order accepted women who were rejected by other orders because of poor health or age. During its first eight years. The new order also was unusual in its public outreach, in contrast to most female religious who remained cloistered and adopted strict ascetic practices. When people criticized her, Chantal famously said, What do you want me to do? I like sick people myself; I'm on their side. Her reputation for sanctity and sound management resulted in many visits by(and donations from) aristocratic women. The order had 13 houses by the time de Sales died.
