Was a collector, former museum curator and lecturer on Asian art at the University of British Columbia, Canada. She also played an important role in creating the Canadian Society for Asian Arts which got its start in Vancouver in 1968. Over her lifetime, she collected a fabulous collection of Chinese antiques, mostly snuff bottles, and porcelain. Most of her pieces were collected between the 1940's- 70's in England and North America. We were lucky enough to purchase some of the nicer pieces which we are offering on ebay. All the items are completely authentic. Authenticated by Ms. Morrison, and also vetted by ourselves. The last picture shows other pieces we are listing today from the same collection. I am not sure if this color is uncommon. But I have not been able to find another one of this color listed on ebay. It has a opalescent sheen to it. It is a yellowish-amber color. I can find only one small nick/sliver on the bottom. I tried to show it in picture 3. It is on the underneath side, so it can not be seen when the dog is displayed. It is less than 1/2" in length, but wanted to mention for accuracy sake. Sold as is. Please look at all the pictures and bid acoordingly.

A large Italian art glass fish. Infused gold flakes are scattered throughout this solid art glass sculpture attributed to Archimedes Seguso. The body is a spectrum of colors from the deepest burgundy and rose amber in its nose to the lightest blush of amber in its tail. All encased in clear glass. The gold flakes are never concealed from view. Oversized applied eyes, plump lips and crystal clear fins enforce this overstated 1950’s Murano art glass as the style of Seguso and Barbini. Clear glass with gold flaked fins and the heavy fire polished glass plinth base are applied to the body. The piece stands 11 inches high and measures 8 inches from nose to tail. In an area near the left eye is a spot of unpolished glass, unfinished during the final polishing. There are no chips or fractures. Unsigned it is in excellent condition.
