It appears to have been made in Czechoslovakia. It stands on a dark black base that appears to be made of glass as well. The base has a small chip of glass missing on the middle right side top. The frosted glass has a few discolored spots where it looks like it may have rubbed something. It also has a brown streak down one of the arms as it looks like something spilled on the glass and discolored it. This may be able to be cleaned off but it also may be permanent. You are currently looking at an elephant figurine made from a mold of frosted glass. I saw or felt no chips. Cracks or breaks on this item. There are no markings either. It's rather heavy for the size of the piece. In fact, it's heavy enough to be a paperweight. There is a seam all the way around the piece showing that it was made from a mold. Condition is so often in the eyes of the beholder. I can believe that something is in terrible condition and you can think it's average.
