Restored and refinished in an attempt to bring out their original workmanship, appearance and to make the set fully functional as well as to preserve it for future use. The lock mechanism measure 3 ½” high by 2 ¾” deep and 1/2” in thickness. The solid brass face plate attached to the lock mechanism measures 5 5/8” high by 7/8” wide by 3/16” thick. Included in this lot is a set of crystal like 12 point glass door knobs with spindle that are in remarkable condition and are void of any cracks or chips but. A very small and almost unnoticeable“flea bite” was detected and does not detract from the use or appeal of the item. Two door escutcheons with mounting screws are also included with a strike plate that also includes mounting screws. Also included are two individual strike plates with mounting screws. One each for the“dead bolt” and one for the“catch bolt” Add this attractive and fully functional set from the past to a current collection or display the items to create or enhance a particular decorating theme or project. The items can also be used to replace defective hardware currently in use. Please note. Most all oils and lubricates were removed during the restoration process so, if the intent is to use the item and not for display purposes, it will need to be lubricated. The 2" diameter glass knobs are very good with no chips or cracks. The brass on the knobs have the old patina and will need polished if you want them shiny. The locks are in good working condition and have a dead bolt. 4 lock sets have the square shank key with 1 3/8" diameter key hole covers. 1 lock set has the key hole cover. But no key, and 1 lock set doesn't have a key hole cover or a key. The 2 1/4" diameter fibre rosettes that fit behind the knobs are in good condition with no breaks. But a couple of the rosettes do have a few chips where the knob seats. The plate on the lock measures 7/8" by 3 3/4" and 3/1/8" between screw holes. Penn Antique Restoration. Antique"Russwin" Bronze Entry Door Set w/Knob. Pull, Lock, Plates Superb. Antique, exterior door, pull set salvaged from Southwestern Pennsylvania. The set consists of 1 bronze pull consisting of 2 square, back plates and thumb latch; 1 round, bronze, mortise cylinder plate; 1 octagon-shaped glass knob w/brass shank;1 bronze rosette; 1 brass thumbturn; 1 steel mortise lock with a bronze faceplate; 1 bronze mortise cylinder with 1 working bronze key and bronze anti-theft collar; 1 bronze strike plate for the door jamb; 1 2-piece, threaded spindle to connect the knob; and 2 brass bolts and washers, and 2 iron nuts and washers to secure the pull. All parts, except for the pull were made by, Russwin" of New Britain, CT sometime between 1900& 1920. All brass/bronze parts are solid, heavy, thick, cast ... morebrass/bronze, not stamped or plated iron. The lock is fully reversible and could accommodate the swing of any door. We found the parts with a nice. Rich, patina, which we opted to leave. There are a couple streaks of white paint on the handle. But the rest is tarnish. The beauty of the parts are only matched by their superb condition. All parts are in fine shape with only the light nicks and scratches. That you would expect to find on century-old hardware. We found this item on a very old door stored in the barn. This estate has yielded many locks and hardware pieces. This is the first one we have found all intact, it was on an old warped solid wooden door that belonged to one of the houses that was at one time on this estate. Here I have a Sargent lock mechanism with two solid glass door knobs. The glass door knobs are free of chips or cracks or any damage. The door this was on has been in the barn for at least 70 years, the house it came from was built around the turn of the century. There are bubbles trapped in the glass door knobs. I had found a can of antique BRASSO brass cleaner. Which I used on all the metal pieces of this assembly, and the brass came out really nice. Being an amateur clock restorer. The item for auction is another Antique/ Vintage Mortise style lock and glass door knob set. The lot also includes a working“skeleton” type key. The lock mechanism also includes mounting screws. The items in this lot were meticulously and painstakingly cleaned. Restored and refinished in an attempt to bring out their original workmanship, appearance and to make the set fully functional as well as to preserve it for future use. The lock mechanism measure 3 ½” high by 2 ¾” deep and 1/2” in thickness. The solid brass face plate attached to the lock mechanism measures 5 5/8” high by 7/8” wide by 3/16” thick. Included in this lot is a set of crystal like 12 point glass door knobs with spindle that are in remarkable condition and are void of any cracks or chips but. A very small and almost unnoticeable“flea bite” was detected and does ... morenot detract from the use or appeal of the item. Two door escutcheons with mounting screws are also included with a strike plate that also includes mounting screws. Also included are two individual strike plates with mounting screws. Lot of 7 Antique Glass Brass Door Knob Lock Sets
This sale if for 7. not 8 as pictured) door knob and lock sets. Each set consists of 2 glass door knobs with set screws, 1 square threaded connecting rod, two face(escutcheon) plates and a mortise lock set. These sets came out of a Chicago bungalow, circa 1927. Each lock set is sold seperately. But I can combine for shipping. The door knobs are glass with a brass base. The brass can be cleaned. Personally. I like them darker. The center of each glass knob has a silver center. They may have the mercury centers. This is best seen in photo 4, which is not flash. Each set up has two knobs and two face plates. The face plates are iron but have a tarnished brass finish. They are not solid brass and some have rust. Each set up has its original mortise lock. All the mortise lock parts are iron. Thank You

It consists of 1 brass pull with thumb latch& 2 securing bolts, 1 brass mortise cylinder plate, 1 faceted glass knob w/bronze shank(base) 1 bronze rosette, 1 bronze thumbturn, 1 aluminum mortise lock with brass faceplate, 1 brass cylinder mortise with anti-theft collar, 1 brass strike plate for the door jamb, and a 2-piece. We found this old door knob set at an estate sale. One of the glass knobs has a tiny flea bite on the face. You can feel it but it’s hard to see unless you are really looking for it. There are also a few air bubbles below the surface. Other than that. The knobs are in very good vintage condition. The tongue on the lock moves in and out when the handles are turned. Other than that. It has NOT been tested. There is NO key included. The back plates are metal. I don’t think they are brass or copper. The finish is a pewter/gray color. There are no dents in them. Each set consists of 2 glass knobs with brass shanks, 2 stamped brass escutcheons, 1 iron mortise lock with brass faceplate and 1 working key, 1 brass plated steel strike plated for the door jamb, and 1 steel spindle with 2 setscrews to connect the knobs. This is an Vintage Antique Glass Door Knob Lock Latch Assembly from a home that that was built in the 50's. I took these out of the home that was being remodeled in a upscale neighbor hood in dallas. It has a glass knob on one side and a latch on the other with a ket hole. I do not have the key. The assembly does work. I have one more of these on auction that has glass knobs on both sides. ANTIQUE GLASS DOOR KNOB & LOCK MECHANISM SET WITH HARDWARE NO KEY EXCELLENT
This is a Stunning Old Set. One Purple Door Knob and one Clear. It has all the Pieces to install but I do not have the Key for the Lock. It has a few extra pieces of hardware that come with it. There is some minor build up to the Brass plate that I believe would come off with some steel wool if You desire. I think it just adds to it's Rustic Character. Will be packed carefully and shipped promptly. Thank you.
