120mm Cannondale C4 Stem Tuned w/Toronto Cycles Ti Bolts 129g
Strong. Light, cheap- I attempted to pick three when I bought this stem from my LBS and converted it to Ti bolts. As stated in the title, the bolts come from Toronto Cycles, The Source for bolt tuning. The fact that these are machined and the heads fill the pockets of the stem body and face plate, make this thing look very tough and industrial. The"C4" and side logos have been rubbed away with alcohol. I did not completely remove it because my computer covers the area. As you can see, the weight is 129g. This is a very respectable weight for a 120mm stem. I have moved to MTB and am selling all of my road gear. Check my other listings for some great deals.

ANTIQUE SILVER PLATE CHALICE- TORONTO SILVER PLATE CO. 19th CENTURY AF PLEASE HAVE A LOOK AT MY OTHER LISTINGS AND I WOULD ENCOURAGE MULTIPLE PURCHASES AS IT CAN SAVE YOU POSTAL COSTS I hesitate to list this exquisite chalice since it has some condition issues but it is also extraordinary in terms of design. It was made by the Toronto Silver Plate Co. which became Birks silversmiths) and so was made in the late years of the 20th Century. The chalice cup is lavishly decorated with handles which include floral and geometric shapes. And bands of raised decorations and incised work. A stem with added curling forms and a base with a heavy band of alternating motifs completes the cup. There are two silver balls on the base. The cup is 8 1/2 inches tall and the cup has a diameter of 3 1/2 inches. The interior has a pale gold surface. The condition ... moreissues; the cup- on the lower section near the stem additions on each side(on the right) are small marks which look as if something was removed. The base- near the silver balls are two 1/4 inch marks which too appear to have been something removed. Could this chalice have been something else? This is a wonderful example of 19th Century design and workmanship. I think a jeweler could remove these imperfections. Please see photos for details and condition. Livingston, Secretary-Treasurer” A short notice in the June 7. 1920 issue of the“Toronto World” found online announced a“Change of Train Time for Thorncliffe Park Races” and named Mssrs. Griffin and Livingston as having the same positions as they had when this image was a captioned, thus my 1920 date estimate. Two of the scans. Above, are random close-ups showing the clarity of the image. You can see that the horses were walking during exposure, which is why they and their jockeys are blurred. Condition– LL corner gone plus an inch-and-a-half horizontal tear ... moreextending to the R beyond the top of the missing section. The RH edge is cut slightly unevenly. With the top edge of the photo being a bit longer than the bottom edge. Quite a bit of soil, especially on the back– see scan of the most heavily soiled section of the back, above. Ocarina The Ocarina is in great shape it is a nice vintage instrument made in USA AND CANADA. Believed to date back to over 12,000 years ago.2] Ocarina-type instruments have been of particular importance in Chinese and Mesoamerican cultures. For the Chinese, the instrument played an important role in their long history of song and dance. The ocarina has similar features to the Xun(塤) another important Chinese instrument(but is different in that Ocarina uses an internal duct, whereas Xun is blown across the outer edge)3] In Japan, the traditional ocarina is known as the tsuchibue(kanji: 土笛; literally"earthen ... moreflute" Different expeditions to Mesoamerica, including the one conducted by Cortés, resulted in the introduction of the ocarina to the courts of Europe. Both the Mayans and Aztecs had produced versions of the ocarina, but it was the Aztecs who brought to Europe the song and dance that accompanied the ocarina. The ocarina went on to become popular in European communities as a toy instrument.1] Its earliest use in Europe dates back to the 19th century in Budrio. A town near Bologna, Italy, where Giuseppe Donati transformed the ocarina from a toy, which only played a few notes, into a more comprehensive instrument(known as the first"classical" ocarinas) The word ocarina in the Bolognese dialect of the Italian language means"little goose. The earlier form was known in Europe as a gemshorn, which was made from animal horns of the chamois(Dutch: gems) Check out my other items! Vintage Water Bottle York Springs Toronto
Probably from the 1920s. Measures 27.5 cm x 7.7 cm(diameter at bottom) 11" x 3 1/4" The Mineral Spring Co. Ltd operated in Toronto at that time and sold spring water in bottles. Condition: Machine made but has bubbles and other impurities in it. Light staining internal and a few scratches outside. Local pickup at no charge. Combined shipments will lower postage.
