The book is in decent condition for it's age with some fraying around the binding and a few pages pulled from the stitching. One of the maps has a slight tear outside the actual image (see Pic). The spine is still tight. This is an ORIGINAL with the maps (including the 6 foldouts) and book plate are all tipped in, making them easily removable. The reproductions have all the fold out maps placed in a pocket inside the back cover. Thanks for looking!

Maps also fascinate me. I think I bought these at an auction many years ago along with an old Ohio map which I have framed and hanging in my living room. These three Geological Survey Maps are from 1960 of the Farmersville Quadrant. The Middletown Quad and the Miamisburg Quad. It's always amazing to see the difference between then and now! They belonged to a business of some sort, but I don't know which. Office Copy" is printed on one of the maps and the Miamisburg map has black marker lines along some sort of road or boundary also what looks likeblack dots which may have represented buildings at the time.Thee measure 27x22" and I note a few small tears around some borders but these do not harm the map areas. The maps are late 40's and early 50's reprints from the early 1900's. The maps are in good condition but there is some crushing to the edges, one small upper corner of one map is missing and one map is discolored at the bottom. The pictures indicate the various quadrangles included in this package. The Avawatz and Furnace Creek quads have printed information on the back and the other four are blank. This group of 75 Oklahoma Geological Survey maps is from a local estate. There are three groups of maps and a booklet entitled. Turkish Grottoes of Yarim Burgaz, 1932 Des Moines Geological Publishing Company. The first group of maps is by the OGS and is Bulletin 40 Volume II. This group consists of 40 maps. The second small group is from Bulletin 40 Volume III. This groups consists of six maps. The last group of maps are township and range maps with a total of 31 maps. Included in these maps are geological structure maps, cross-sections and land maps. The Volumes II and III are dated 1926-30. The township and range maps are not dated. 1971 Vintage Department Of Interior Map Geological Survey Map Montana 2 Maps MT
Up for bid here are 2 1971 Vintage United States Department Of Interior Geological Survey Maps. It says that they have been modified for Forest Service Use. The maps cover the area around Maxville. Montana and Pikes Peak, Montana. These are one-sided maps that measure 30 inches by 21 inches. They are basically in good condition but they are yellowed with age. It's worse near where the map has been folded. I see just a little bit of writing on the back of one of the maps. I'm not sure what else to say about these old maps so I will just say Happy Bidding! Areas, Geographic Centers, and Altitudes of the United States and Several States- 2nd edition Geological Survey Bulletin 817. Book is 265 total pages, all intact. Inside back cover has an attached envelope with 2 awesome maps. One map is"part of the map of Mexico prepared by J Disturnell published in New York in 1847" The other map is very large and states" a map of he British French dominions in North America with the roads, distances, limits, and extent of the settlements, humbly inscribed to the Right Honourable the? Let me start out by saying that I feel these maps have never been unfolded and I just couldn't bring myself to unfold them. Even though they are not brittle or fragile in any way. When it comes to maps one wrong move and there's a tear you can't take back! So, I did fold out the bottom edges so you could see that they are full color and get the complete information for the maps. The first map is a Topography map and the second is a General and Econonic Geological map. They are very large, approximately 42" x 63" and the coloration is so strong the maps still have an"inky" smell to them and the 2nd map has some ink darkening on one end like you would see on building plans.
