One in her ballet dress and shoes, the other in her Sunday dress and parasol. These are prints of paintings that were done by an Artist named Maio in the 1960s when many Artists like Gig, Keane, Eden, Lee, Alvaro, and many others were doing these big eyed or sad children and animal art works. The prints are on thick fiber or particle boards. They are both still in their original shrink wrap with an advertising paper in the back of each. Antique Jacquard Point Paper Textile Weaving Pattern
These are point paper patterns that were used in factories to punch the cards used on a Jacquard loom to weave textiles. They date from the 1930s to the 1950s and were made in an English textile factory and were later shipped to a factory in Philadelphia when that factory bought the looms when the English factory closed. Some are patterns used for weaving lace and some are labeled curtains. Most of these patterns were lost when the factories closed down. I bought these in 1993 from the factory in Philadelphia when they closed. They had been stored in less than ideal conditions and consequently many have small tears and creases where they had been folded and all of them have dirt and dust. They also were working patterns so they have notes and corrections and changes. But they are beautiful industrial art and look great framed. They are great ... moreartifacts illustrating a technology that has been lost to computerization. I will not ship directly out of the United States. This stunning piece looks like Royal Vienna. A very Art Nouveau framed portrait of an Iranian? Peruvian? woman. She has large gold hoop earrings and looks like royalty with a silk scarf draped about her head and neck. The colors are incredible. Including the design on the reverse side. With the lid this canister measures 8" high, without the lid its 5 1/4" The rim measures 3.5" and I see a small nic(see pic#10) I find this item very hard to describe and I see no makers mark so I will let the pictures be my description. This is a course earthenware type of pottery. With great age. It is beautifully decorated with a figure and animals. It is 13 inches tall. There are areas along the top with no glaze. I bought two pieces from the estate. The other has"Spain" painted on the bottom and I believe this must have similar origin. The material is similar to majolica. Antique Hand Fan, Painted & Signed, Ca. 1895
This is truly a beautiful fan. It shows a young lady with farm animals in a garden. Painted in gouache and signed. The painting is absolutely top quality. I'm sorry, I can't read the signature. The front of the leaf is in perfect condition, as are the wooden sticks, painted black and beautifully carved and gilded. The center stick has come away from the slip at the shoulder- an easy job to glue! The back lining is shredding but it doesn't show from the front. Can easily be repaired by a conservator. Brass loop. It measures 13-3/4" long by 25-1/2" wide when open. A large fan! Comes in it's own box, which isn't in stellar shape but it serves it's purpose- protecting the fan.

Gim bel Brothers(Gimbels) was an American department store corporation from 1887 until 1987. The company is known for creating the Gimbels Thanksgiving Day Parade. The oldest parade in the country. Gimbels was also once the largest department store chain in the country. By the time of its closure in 1987, Gimbels had 36 stores throughout the United States. The period known as the Baroque(the 1600s) produced many new and innovative pictorial modes of expression and none more so than the painted ceiling. Beautiful Old Vintage Trinket Box Brass Frame With Hinged Lid and Natural Walls We took a trip to some unfamiliar shops this weekend and came home with some fabulous items– lots of antiques and uniques for you! I’ll be listing all week. So be sure to check back! Wow this one is so cool. It's also old. I'm calling it"natural walls. in my title because I cannot for the lift of me figure out what the walls of this lovely trinket box are made of. They are opaque white and made from a natural material sliced paper thin but thick enough to be strong and sturdy. The patten in the material reminds me of the inside of a seashell- are they slices from a shell? We don't have many seashells hanging around the corn fields here in rural Illinois, so I bet you know more about it than I do- I can tell you it's not man made- it's ... morenarural, for sure. The box has a brass frame that has a wonderful age darkened patina. There's a teenie finger of brass that hangs down from the center of the top of the lid and when closed, sits inside of the box, and when closing, clicks on the edge of the brass frame and holds the box closed. There's working hinges made from the brass frame at the back too. The box measures 2 1/4" wide by 1 7/8" deep and 7/8" tall. It is in excellent solid and sturdy condition structurally- totally strong. If you look in photo 7, you can see a tiny ding/divot on the underside of the box. I thought it might go all the way through, but it shows no light from the inside. It's on the underside only- there's nothing like it on the top or side, you have to have it turned over to see, and even then, you really need a magnifying glass! The lines that you see on the sides and top in my photos are the pattern of the material- like rays of sun coming over rounded waves. The patina of the brass is dark- darker in person than I think in my photos with the reflection off of the snow. It's just such a cool old box. It's very light- only a couple of ounces, and it's

Circa 1857- 1870 American Flask& Cap Co. This is an authentic' Oak Leaf and Buffalo' black powder flask from the American Flask& Cap Co. This specimen is their version of an"Indian and buffalo" flask. Adjustable graduated brass measuring chamber from 3 to 4 drams. With 3-1/4, 3-1/2, and 3-3/4 increments marked at their stops. In working shape- the spring, the thimble, the slide gate, and also the threads are all in good shape. The integrity of the rest of the flask is also in excellent condition including the sides, surface, top three mounting screws and the four carrying cord rings. It appears unused, although not certain about that, there is some oxidation on the brass cap but doesn't look like it's from use, rather just from time. Overall length of the flask is 9-1/2 inches. From my huge collection I am selling a great pale gold enameled tumbler. There is very little. If any loss of paint and no chips or cracks. It is quilted and you can feel the quilting on the inside of the tumbler. It is 3 7/8" tall and 2 7/8" across the top.
