First class relic( ex 0ssibus) of Saint John Eudes. John Eudes was born at Ri. Normandy, France, on November 14, 1601, the son of a farmer. He went to the Jesuit college at Caen when he was 14, and despite his parents' wish that he marry, joined the Congregation of the Oratory of France in 1623. He studied at Paris and at Aubervilliers, was ordained in 1625, and worked as a volunteer, caring for the victims of the plagues that struck Normandy in 1625 and 1631, and spent the next decade giving Missions, building a reputation as an outstanding preacher and confessor and for his opposition to Jansenism. He became interested in helping fallen women, and in 1641, with Madeleine Lamy, founded a refuge for them in Caen under the direction of the Visitandines. He resigned from the Oratorians in 1643 and founded the Congregation of Jesus and Mary(the ... moreEudists) at Caen, composed of secular priests not bound by vows but dedicated to upgrading the clergy by establishing effective seminaries and to preaching missions. His foundation was opposed by the Oratorians and the Jansenists, and he was unable to obtain Papal approval for it, but in 1650, the Bishop of Coutances invited him to establish a seminary in that diocese. The same year the sisters at his refuge in Caen left the Visitandines and were recognized by the Bishop of Bayeux as a new congregation under the name of Sisters of Our Lady of Charity of the Refuge. John founded seminaries at Lisieux in 1653 and Rouen in 1659 and was unsuccessful in another attempt to secure Papal approval of his congregation. But in 1666 the Refuge sisters received Pope Alexander III's approval as an institute to reclaim and care for penitent wayward women. John continued giving missions and established new seminaries at Evreux in 1666 and Rennes in 1670. He shared with St. Mary Margaret Alacoque the honor of initiating devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus(he composed the Mass for the Sacred Heart in 1668) and the Holy Heart of Mary, popularizing the devotions with his"The Devot

Here's a 1st class relic of Saint John Neumann complete and intact In 1835. John Neumann completed his studies for the priesthood in Europe. At this time there was an overabundance of priest, so bishops were not ordaining anyone. St. Neumann wrote to the bishops in North American and was ordained by the Bishop of New York in 1836. He was assigned to Germanspeaking communities around Niagara Falls. In 1852 he was appointed Bishop of Philadelphia. Criticized by many influential, wealthy Catholics because he was not charismatic, eloquent, handsome or refined and had a thick accent, St. Neumann had an uphill battle as he built new churches, organized the first Catholic diocesan school system, founded the Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis of Philadelphia, and originated the Forty Hours Devotion. St. John Neumann is best known for his ... moreextraordinary spirituality, intense devotion to the Eucharist and selfless commitment to the service of all people.

Named in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, was born to Giuseppa and Grazio Forgione, peasant farmers, in the small Italian village of Pietrelcina on May 25, 1887. From his childhood, ... moreit was evident that he was a special child of God. Francesco was very devout even as a child, and at an early age felt drawn to the priesthood. He became a Capuchin novice at the age of sixteen and received the habit in 1902. Francesco was ordained to the priesthood in 1910 after seven years of study and became known as Padre Pio. On September 20. 1918, Padre Pio was kneeling in front of a large crucifix when he received the visible marks of the crucifixion, making him the first stigmatized priest in the history of Church. The doctor who examined Padre Pio could not find any natural cause for the wounds. Upon his death in 1968, the wounds were no longer visible. In fact, there was no scaring and the skin was completely renewed. He had predicted 50 years prior that upon his death the wounds would heal. The wounds of the stigmata were not the only mystical phenomenon experienced by Padre Pio. The blood from the stigmata had an odor described by many as similar to that of perfume or flowers. And the gift of bilocation was attributed to him. Padre Pio had the ability to read the hearts of the penitents who flocked to him for confession which he heard for ten or twelve hours
Before the development of modern medicine. Fevers, cramps and toothache could be painful and dangerous. Childbirth could kill mother or child. Many people believed that the supernatural powers embodied in an amulet could promote fertility and good health and offer protection against malign forces or the'evil eye' The amulets were often made of organic materials thought to have protective powers. Such as jet or horn, or were set with propitious symbols. Although the Catholic Church was opposed to the pagan nature of many amulets, it was powerless to prevent their use. This amulet represents the tongue of St. John Nepomuk. Who was a Bohemian priest of the 14th century, revered for his refusal to break the seal of the confessional. It was worn to protect against lies, a bad reputation, or malicious rumours. The saint was popular throughout ... morethe Alpine region, and beyond. 1.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk.rp73%28b0g%60%60%3E1-14b34fc2fb4-0x111-
