One hundred Catholic men, of the highest order(Knights of Columbus)were requested to protect the Pope during his out door, center city mass, in October of 1979. Junior was my late grandfather whom was part of Saint Moniacs[ SIC] Parish in South Philly. He was also a member of their Knights Of Columbus. He won an award from the K.O.C. in 1960. For his spiritual community work in said parish. I welcome you to research him through the parish records, his relating information would be documented there.
