This door handle set is clean and has both original grub screws and the spindle with holes for adjustment. It was designed for a rim lock but with another plate it could be used for a mortise lock. The set consists of 1 steel knob, 1 steel lever, 1 stamped steel escutcheon, 1 surface-mount steel rim lock, 1 steel strike plate for the door jamb, 1 spindle with 2 setscrews to connect the knob and lever, and all 10 original installation screws to fasten the parts to the door. Originally. All parts were brass plated, however, most of the plating wore off over the years leaving the parts with a nice, distressed finish. The exterior escutcheon also has pitting from top to bottom, which enhances the distressed look of the set. The lock could accommodate the swing of any door. Antique Crye Rim Lock Door Knobs 1869 Military Cilvil War Style Door Knob Set
This is a old Crye door rim lock with knobs. Great vintage condition. It all works really well but no key. It's got some rust but will be a great piece to refurbish. Very solid and very rare. Pat. Date is March 30. 1869. It has a thick layer of black paint on it. The rim lock it's self does look to have any heavy rust at all. Great piece of history! Up for auction is an original vintage screen door knob and rim lock set. This beautiful lock set has a fine patina with a warm vintage paint covering some of it. Dated June 21. 1892 on the back of the lock. This set includes the lock latch piece. The back plate and a knob- handle combination with it's spindle. There is no catch included with this set. The latch piece also has a lock on it opperated from the inside only. The lock measures 3 1/8" x 2" The back plate measures 4" x 1 1/2" The handle measures 1 3/4" long-and the knob measures 1 3/4" in diameter Condition: This set is in great working condition and has a nice antique look to it.
