A pair of Vintage Antique Brown Porcelain Doorknobs with the Lock mechanism. Unknown maker of doorknobs but mechanisms are stamped Chantrell Tool Co. I acquired these from an old house I was renting. House was build sometime in the late 1930's- early 1940's and these were the original door knobs in the house. 2 of the knobs have some small chips(pictured) the other 2 are in excellent condition. Both Lock Mechanisms lock and unlock with no sticking or jamming.

Penn Antique Restoration. Antique Eastlake Double Door Passage Set w/Porcelain Knobs. Plates, Lock. This rare. High-end lockset consists of 4 jet black porcelain knobs w/bronze shanks, 4 bronze escutcheons with bronze knob collars, 1 mortise lock w/brass faceplate, 1 brass strike plate for the door jamb, and 2 spindles with 4 setscrews to connect the knobs. All bronze/brass parts are solid, heavy, thick, cast bronze/brass, not flimsy stamped(pressed) or wrought bronze/brass. This set is meant for a pair of double doors. One pair of knobs engages the lock when turned. And the other, dummy, pair just sit on the other door and look pretty. The lock is reversible and could could accommodate the swing of any door. Unfortunately. There is a broken piece inside of the lock that we weren't able to fix, and as a result, the lower, deadbolt, latch ... moreis unusable. Only the upper, passage, latch works, and the lock is limited to simply keeping a door closed. The escutcheons have a wonderful. Aesthetic(Eastlake) style design. Also notice the bronze shanks on the knobs-what great accents! We found the parts painted and dirty(see last photo) Much time was spent removing the paint. And cleaning and polished all parts to the best of our ability. The knobs have a few light scuffs and scratches. Otherwise all parts are in great shape. Free of any breaks. Each set consists of 2 jet black porcelain knobs w/iron shanks, 2 iron escutcheons with bronze knob collars, 1 iron mortise lock w/1 working key, and 1 spindle with 2 setscrews to connect the knobs. Antique Brown/Orange Swirl Bennington Porcelain Door Knob set w/Lock Assembly Description. Offered is an antique brown swirl door knob& lock assembly from an 1800's farm house. I believe it is refered to usually as the Bennington swirl in reference to the Bennington clay they used to make marbles from. The lock assembly fits not inside the door but on the outside of the door. Inside the room. As you can see the knobs work the assembly fine. There is NO key to lock& unlock it so I do not know if that works& the little screw that hold the one knob on is missing. The lock has been painted on one side& there is paint spatters on the knobs as well. Please check out the pictures& e-mail with any questions. Antique Vintage Metal Porcelain Corbin Door Knob Lock Body Hardware Part! The lock body/rod are made of metal and the knob is made of porcelain it has Corbin embossed in the metal. The lock body alone measures 4 1/4" x 3 1/8" and the porcelain knob/rod stickout from the lock body appr. 3 3/4" It's showing signs of wear with surface rust/discoloration/dings/paint spots and could use cleaned up the porcelain knob has no cracks but a few very small dings. I tried to pull the metal rod out from the lock body but it's stuck and won't come out even with it still inserted the knob turns freely both ways and the lock on the side of the box pushes in/out freely please see the pictures for a better view.
