2 PAIR VINTAGE - ANTIQUE CRYSTAL GLASS DOORKNOBS w/METAL IN CENTER - UNIQUE
Up for bid are these 2 pair of Crystal Glass Doorknobs with what looks like a starburst design. So when you look into the center. There is what appears to be a round,silver, piece of metal that is recessed into the bottom of the glass with a larger metal below that, so when you look at it it give a beautiful effect, which i have never seen before. The knob itself is smooth with 8 sided and measure about 2" in diameter and about 6 1/4" from end to end. These come complete with the stems and the brass inside holder for the knobs. These are in great condition with no nick or cracks in them. They both can be yours for a low bid. Sorry my pictures do not do justice for these but hopefully they are good enough for you to see the beauty in them. The yellow is reflection of the brass they are clear. I believe 7 of the knobs are brass and 1(the smallest) is brass plated but I am not a metal expert and do not know for sure. A magnet does not stick to 7. A magnet does stick to the smallest knob. A magnet sticks to both stems. 7 knobs seem to be hollow or lightweight.
