Here we have a nice vintage door pull made by Dexter. It is brass and includes a lock piece. But has no key with it. It measures app. 10 1/2" high. Antique 1910 Arts & Crafts Cast Brass Entry Door Set Knob Plate Lock Lockset Key
Penn Antique Restoration. Heavy Duty Arts& Crafts Entry Door Set Knobs Plates Lock*Please note that there are no mortise cylinders included with this set. Beautiful. Bold, entry set salvaged from Northeastern, NJ. The set consists of 2 brass knobs, 1 large brass escutcheon, 1 brass rosette, 1 brass thumbturn, 1 brass anti-theft collar, 1 steel lock with brass faceplate, and 1 split spindle with 2 setscrews. All brass parts are solid, heavy, thick, cast brass not stamped brass or brass-plated iron. Although there are no markings, judging by the design, I am pretty sure this set was made by"Russwin" of New Britain, CT. Unlike most old-fashioned mortise locks. Which have rectangular deadbolts; this lock has cylindrical bolts with odd-shaped heads. When you turn the key, the bolts spin as they spring forth from the lock. The spinning ... morecauses the heads to turn in a corkscrew manner. Because of this feature, this will require a special strike plate with circular holes, not the typical rectangular holes. Unfortunately, we don't have any compatible plates, however, I don't think it would cost too much to have one made-less than $50 for sure. We do not have any mortise cylinders that will fully extend the latch. Our cylinders only push it out halfway. However. You can stop at any locksmith shop to buy one that will work for this lock. The knobs and escutcheons have a lovely design accentuated by a grainy texture on the faces of all the parts except for the lock. At the point of salvage. The set was found with many layers of paint and was heavily tarnished(see last photo) Since then, we've removed the paint, cleaned, and polished the set to the best of our ability. All parts are in great condition with only a few signs of wear like nicks and scratches. Otherwise there are no breaks. Cracks, chips, dents, or heavy scratches. The lock was opened, inspected, and we sprayed WD40 on and around all internal parts to facilitate their movement. This is not your typical vintage or antique set of hardware. I

Antique Vintage old Arts and Crafts storm door knob lever lock set dark brown
Nice old Arts and Crafts style antique door knob from an old wooden storm door. It has a locking mechanism on it. There is a hexagon lever on one side and a knob on the other. It needs to be cleaned there is some red and white paint on the back plates. The magnet will stick to the plates but not to the lever and the knob. The set includes the round door latch. I took it off the door and kept all the parts with the knob set.

All bronze ... moreparts are solid, heavy, thick, cast bronze, not flimsy wrought/stamped bronze or plated steel. Each set weighs over 3 lbs! The locks are reversible and could accommodate the swing of any door. These locks must have been the top of the line in their day. Because they are not only well-built, but they have 3 tumblers! Most antique locks only have 1 tumbler, and the more tumblers in a lock, the more sophisticated a key must be in order to engage the lock. You can't just use any ordinary key, we need to customize one for each lock-see details below. The sets were salvaged from Eastern Nebraska. We found the parts with a beautiful. Original patina that we didn't want to disturb by cleaning. We just wiped them with a rag and WD40 to remove the dirt and bring out the beauty of the red, orange, and yellow hues of the patina. All of the knobs, escutcheons, lock faceplates, and strike plates were brass plated when they were manufactured. Although, most of the brass wore off of the knobs over the years, the rest of the parts retained the majority of their original plating. The amount of plating varies from part to part(see"Group Photos" to compare) All of the locks are reversible and could accommodate either a left or right swing door. The knobs have a simple round form. With a lovely concentric design. The escutcheons have beautiful stepped edges. At the point of salvage. All parts were either painted, dirty, and/or rusty.
