ANTIQUE GLASS AND BRASS DOORKNOB. WITH BRASS AND STEEL HARDWARE. This old set of glass doorknobs is about 2 and 1/8 inches in diameter. The brass door plates are about 2 inches in diameter. A 1/4 inch square steel rod connects the two doorknobs. This set of glass doorknobs will need cleaning since they are a little dirty and tarnished. One of the glass knobs has a very slight knick on the surface. And the back interior center design is cloudy. There is also a few tiny spots on the knobs that looks like paint. Once cleaned I believe this would be a nice set of antique doorknobs. just my opinion of course) I don't edit photos. 1 glass doorknob set salvaged from a house built in the 1970s. Shurlock brand. Lockset is passage type like you would use on a closet. This set is functioning. But is used and has wear and tear marks and polyurothane on it. The glass is in good shape and is firmly in the metal holder. The setup is for a 2 3/8 backset and the escution(I may not be spelling this correctly) plate is approximately 2 inches. The set would work great for parts or could be cleaned and installed to be a backset with character. You will need to provide your own striker plate and screw. Please email with any questions. This beautiful glass doorknob set is pre-1930. The glass knobs are 2 3/8 inches across and are in perfect condition. With no chips, nicks or cracks, and they have a very faint lavender hue in some lights. The metal on one of the knobs is a silver color and on the other, it may be brass. Old Vintage Lot of 7 Glass Doorknob sets. This set includes 14 glass handles. 8 round handle trim pieces, and 7 Dexter insides. Most of the auctions listed do not include the trim pieces or backplates. I even have the old brass screws. two screws are new and not brass. Each of the glass handles as well as the round face plates measures approximately 2" in diameter. The inside parts are 4-1/4" long while engaged. All of the glass is in very good condition with no cracks or chips. I only noticed one scuff. They do need cleaning. Please note paint marks on the glass as well as the metal pieces. It can be removed I checked. I would consider them excellent condition. Also some slight tarnish to the Dexter parts. One knob is the star pattern and not the round style. It also appears newer. The matching back plate with it is also newer ... moreand a different style. I would suggest putting mismatched knob on the inside of a closet door or a basement door. My house has all the star ones but I actually prefer the look of the round ones. The are mirrored backed. Im sure they could be polished to new looking condition These locks should last you a lifetime. They also lock from the inside. These should also work in a mortise style lock. Sorry no screws. They were removed from old homes being torn down. And there wasn't much brass plate left on the faces. I removed the remaining brass plate off with the intent of re-painting them. Aluminum was stylish at the time and so these knobs are a combination of glass and pebbled aluminum. They include the button pop lock that was a new hot feature. These sets are priced individually. Some have glass knobs on both sides. Others have glass on one side and aluminum on the other. The goldish discoloration is old lacquer that can be cleaned right off with some paint stripper. Everything wanted to reflect in them, they are not scratched really nice, as you can see the metal stuff needs a good cleaning or referbishing, as far as I am concerned they are in working order, the keys work in them. This is a very old doorknob set. Each knob takes(1) set screw of which these set screws are brass, With iron/steel bases Together they are very heavy. There's a double star in the center as well as fluted sides they are approximately 2" wide across the top The glass is tight to the brass base. These knobs are old and in good condition with no chips. Please take a look.

Early X-Etched Mercury-Backed Glass Doorknob Set
The knobs are 2 ¼” in diameter with etched mirror backs and brass mounts. They are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There are a few light surface scratches and some spotting in the mercury of one knob.

There is some paint spots residue on the brass and iron bar mostly. Maybe a tiny speck on the crystal/glass where it is attached to the metal. Needs gentle cleaning.
