I have a nice lot of 7 antique pressed glass door knobs for your consideration. Upon close inspection there are no cracks or chips. There is however a very very small flea bite along the outside edge of one of the knobs that you would not see unless you are looking for it. One of the knobs will need a dab of liquid cement since it does not seat properly in the brass collar if you will be reusing for its original intent. Nice reusable lot for possibly that hard to find match for your repair. Replace or vintage renovation. Fabulous lot for the collector or creative repurpose art mind. Would display well too. Here up for auction is an unusual find indeed! Anyone who loves antique door hardware knows this is a sought after type door knob set. Perfectly round glass knobs with no chips- very slight surface scratch here or there but nothing really bad at all. The inside mercury star is perfect with no deterioration. These also have the nickel plated shanks which is unusual- generally you see these with the brass bases. Given that piece of information- these were most likely used for a powder room since the detail is nickel but maybe not. Gorgeous set of knobs. Get a nice deal on these! Knob is 2 1/8" octagon shaped; Escutcheons are 1 13/16" wide at knob and 6 1/2" long; Iron skeleton key is 3 1/2" long; lock works. I have a nice lot of antique glass door or drawer knobs for your consideration. There are a couple matching sets. The eight on the left in the first pic are in nice reusable condition with original sets screws. There is some brown stain that will need to be cleaned off of them. They are six sided. There is another set of three 10 sided with out the set screws that are in nice condition as well. And a couple odd knobs for a total of 13 in this lot. Nice lot for a renovation. Vintage 1930's Glass Door Knob and hardware
I have a vintage or antique Glass door knob. Complete with two glass handles, two door plates and penn locking hardware. Everything on this door knob set is original, came off a door that the house was built in the 30's. the glass knobs are in excellent condition, no chips or cracks and I see no scratches. they do have a little paint around them, comes off very easy with you finger nail. The base of the knobs are silver in color, some light paint and rust, not sure if they are brass underneath or not. the two door plates are art deco design from 1930's time period. They do have some paint and rust on them, but the metal is sturdy. The door locking mechanism which is penn, is in good shape, has some paint and rust also, but it does work, I did not have a key, so I could not check the lock. For auction is one Vintage Sargent locking set with one glass knob and hardware. One side the the glass door knob and the other a knob that looks like a lock but it turns to open door. The glass door knob has a small chip. The locking set is marked Sargent. It has old paint on it and all of it will need cleaning. I do not have a key but it does have a key hole.
