VERY SCARCE* OLD ANTIQUE VTG Ca 1880's VICTORIAN AESTHETIC MOVEMENT FANCY BRASS DOOR KNOB SET This offering is for an antique or vintage door knob set made of heavy brass with beautiful decoration in high relief. I am unsure of who made the knobs as there are no makers markings or dates but I would think they were made in the late 19th century. About the 1880's. The knobs are a standard size 2¼" in diameter and the overall length of each knob is app. 2½" The knobs are uncleaned and as found with an excellent surface patina. The only flaws worth mentioning are that the set screw in one has the slot of the screw messed up to the point that I was not able to remove it, the second knob has had the head of the set screw broken off, so the remaining screw section will need to be drilled or gound out to remove the piece ... moreof steel shaft that protrudes. As they sit this great vintage pait of door knobs displays beautifully and definately rate as one of the more unusual and beautiful door knob sets produced. Vintage Sargent Brass Door Hardware Lock Fancy Knobs Matching Plates Deadbolt
There are many images so please scroll down to view them. This auction is for a Sargent brass door hardware set. It consists of the mortise lock which is marked Sargent on the side and also on the key section of the lock. It is the deadbolt type. The plates and door knobs are all matching with the inside plate and knob being smaller than the outside. The outside plate is 10 1/2" tall x 2 7/8" approx and inside 7 3/8" x 2 3/8" The plates are the thin pressed brass. The screw for the large knob is with it I failed to image it as it was loose. The deadbolt will not turn it could be froze up. There is no key with it. I have not cleaned it but think it will polish up nicely. This is set is much better than images make it appear. The backplates one of them is marked Yale 14 7/8 x 2 3/4 and then has a number also in center that looks like 16765. The size is 14 7/8 x 2 3/4. I am showing all the pieces with it taken apart. It has two keys that fits i and turns the deadbolt but it really needs taken apart and oiled to work right and those keys are marked Cole National and the lock that they fit in is marked Yale. The door knobs are very nice and I am showing close up views. The inside knob has a screw for adjustment. This set has the original patina and I have not cleaned it. Fine Antique Brass Door Handle it has an ornate pierced decoration this is a large piece which would suit most antique doors. it measures approx 26cms long i would think this is a Victorian piece however it may be later it is stamped with a"B" on both plate and handle the cosmetic condition is excellent there are no dents. it has its aged patina and colour. however i feel this would benefit from a fine polish a really fine example which would look outstanding on an Antique Door.

I am unsure of who made the knob as there are no makers markings or dates but I would think it was made in the late 19th century. About the 1890's. The knob measures app 2¼" in diameter and the overall length including the shaft is app. 2" The knob is uncleaned and as found with an excellent surface patina and typical light minor wear, paint smears etc. A bit of the old iron shaft is also stuck inside the opening and will need to be removed if you plan on using it. The vintage well-made one piece brass knobs are adorned with handsome detailing on both sides of the knobs, with an etched rim in the middle(picture 2) Next are fancy round trim pieces that fit against the plates/behind the knobs(picture 4) that also have marvelous detailing. The trim pieces sit on both sides of the door, as do the plates) The plates(picture 3) are well-cast and, again, are fancy shaped and detailed, Allt he pieces match, and together all 6 pieces(plus the spindle) make a remakable presence. Parts all screw together on the spindle, so no screws are needed. I have not seen another set like these. Arts and crafts era? Not sure, but nonetheless, a stunning set, with a superior patina. You are bidding on a Vintage Antique Fancy NOS? Solid Brass/Bronze East Lake Screen Door Handle Drawer Pull. The handle measures 7 1/2" end to end. The holes are 4 3/8" center to center lengthwise. The holes are 1 1/8" center to center on the up and down measurement. It stands 1 1/2" tall so it would fit any hand to open the door or push up the window. It has a great East Lake design on the ends. It is marked on the back but I can not read what it says. This is NOS? possibly never been used. It is in very nice condition and ready to use. I am unsure of who made the knobs and plates as there are no makers markings or dates but I would think they were made in the late 19th century. About the 1890's.
