Corbin ceylon eastlake style restored entry doorknob set.Complete and functioning well it was saved from a house in buffalo.N.y.that was scheduled for demolition.The house was built in 1855.The mortise has been gone over completely,all the rust and gunk cleaned up and oiled.I have several other Ceylon auctions going also.No key.Comes with a key for the deadbolt and the original screws not pictured. This 3 1/2” long x 3 1/4” wide x 3/4” thick with 5” x 7/8” cast brass Eastlake end plate lock is intact and functional. The surfaces are entirely original with clean. Shiny black japanning. These knobs are fixed and do not rotate: mechanism is activated by a thumb lever. One white china knob has a nickel plated center and black japanned cast iron mount. The other has a bronzed japanned finish with fancy brass button center. The side of the lock reads, Chicago L. Co Gilbert;s Patent May 30 1876” There is no key. Up for auction is a gorgeous Set of Antique Heavy Duty Door Knob Lock with Backplates. IT is a set which was used on front and back door. It is made of Copper because it has a reddish tone. Up for auction is an original Antique Eastlake Door Knob Set with Knobs. Spindle, Rosettes, lock, key and Key Escutcheons. They are made of Brass except the spindle. Lock and key which are iron. The knobs measure 2 1/4" in diameter and projects 2 1/4" off the rosette. The rosettes are 2" in diameter and the escutcheons measure 1" x 1 3/4" The lock plate measures 5 1/4" tall and 7/8" wide. The lock body measures 3 1/8" x 3 1/2" comes with screws for mounting door knobs to spindle and a working key.
