Set of 20 Crystal / Brass Doorknobs: With Imperfections in Base Only.
These have been old stock for quite a long time. They are from the early 1900's. As you can see from the pictures. There are imperfections in the bases, hence the much lower price. The glass is in great shape and we have been able to fit spindles in the ones we tested, and tighten the screws. Naturally, care should be taken when mounting, eg. use some lubrication before screwing in the spindles. For those who don't mind a"weathered" look, or are seeking such a look, these are great. Antique Glass Doorknobs, Set Screws, and Spindles
Used. These glass doorknobs are nice. I only feel rough spots on one of them. There are tiny nicks on three of the face points on that doorknob. I could see a light scratch with my glasses on. They look good and clear. Solid and tight. The centers are very nice. They are never going to be perfect but these are in good shape for their age. Salvaged from an old house in Providence. RI is this wonderful Art Nouveau door knob and plate collection. I believe the items are heavy brass; the door knobs have a wonderful patina. The backplate may have been painted at one time as there are some tiny trace amounts of paint. Very typical of the Art Nouveau movement with sensuous curving design. Two other small plates from the same house are included, as well as the knob shaft which will need screws. The front door back plate measures approximately 10 1/2" long and 2 7/8" wide; the knobs have a diameter of 2 1/4" All the pieces are in"as found" condition and have not been polished or cleaned.
