Nice old Arts and Crafts style antique door knob from an old wooden storm door. It has a locking mechanism on it. There is a hexagon lever on one side and a knob on the other. It needs to be cleaned there is some red and white paint on the back plates. The magnet will stick to the plates but not to the lever and the knob. The set includes the round door latch. I took it off the door and kept all the parts with the knob set.

Offered here is an antique. Metal(mostly cast iron) door knob and lock set. The set is complete and includes the small door knob, lever handle, back plates Escutcheon and the lock. The lock does not require a key as it is operated with a slide pin from the interior. This set is fro a small door. The knob measures 1 3/4" in diameter. The lock box measures 3 1/4" on the face with the box part that is inserted in the door measuring 2" square. It's a very old set, 19c I think and has paint remnants. The knob and lever handle turn easily. The sliding lock works but takes a harder push due to some rust. I removed most of the rust that is sh own in the photo with a light penetrating oil. The set consists of 1 knob, 1 lever, 2 stamped escutcheons, 1 barrel lock, 1 strike plate for the door jamb, 1 spindle with 2 setscrews to connect the knob& lever, 4 installation screws to secure the escutcheons to the door, and the original box and installation template. All parts are solid brass, not plated steel. We found all parts in their original box(see last photo) The set was made by"Elgin" and distributed by"Sears. Roebuck, and Co. All parts are considered, New Old Stock, which means that they were made a long time ago but was never used or installed. The lock is reversible and could accommodate the swing of any door. Here are 14 old brass or bronze Door Levers. Looks like several different ages. The ones in the upper left on picture#1 are probably the oldest. The sq. mild steel shaft on these three are pinned in place(not held by a set screw) The 4(same pic) located on lower left were(or are) silver in color. They could all use a good thorough cleaning. I couldn't see any markings on any of them but something might show up after cleaning. I hope the pictures I took will give you a good idea on their condition because I can't tell if they have any scrapes or dings(probably some will show up after cleaning) They are being sold"AS IS" NO OUT OF USA SALES.
