Lot of 7 Antique Glass Brass Door Knob Lock Sets
This sale if for 7. not 8 as pictured) door knob and lock sets. Each set consists of 2 glass door knobs with set screws, 1 square threaded connecting rod, two face(escutcheon) plates and a mortise lock set. These sets came out of a Chicago bungalow, circa 1927. Each lock set is sold seperately. But I can combine for shipping. The door knobs are glass with a brass base. The brass can be cleaned. Personally. I like them darker. The center of each glass knob has a silver center. They may have the mercury centers. This is best seen in photo 4, which is not flash. Each set up has two knobs and two face plates. The face plates are iron but have a tarnished brass finish. They are not solid brass and some have rust. Each set up has its original mortise lock. All the mortise lock parts are iron. Thank You

Old Vintage Lot of 7 Glass Doorknob sets. This set includes 14 glass handles. 8 round handle trim pieces, and 7 Dexter insides. Most of the auctions listed do not include the trim pieces or backplates. I even have the old brass screws. two screws are new and not brass. Each of the glass handles as well as the round face plates measures approximately 2" in diameter. The inside parts are 4-1/4" long while engaged. All of the glass is in very good condition with no cracks or chips. I only noticed one scuff. They do need cleaning. Please note paint marks on the glass as well as the metal pieces. It can be removed I checked. I would consider them excellent condition. Also some slight tarnish to the Dexter parts. One knob is the star pattern and not the round style. It also appears newer. The matching back plate with it is also newer ... moreand a different style. I would suggest putting mismatched knob on the inside of a closet door or a basement door. My house has all the star ones but I actually prefer the look of the round ones. The are mirrored backed. Im sure they could be polished to new looking condition These locks should last you a lifetime. They also lock from the inside. These should also work in a mortise style lock. Vintage fancy 7 piece brass door plate/knob set
Here's a beautiful and unusual antique door hardware set you will want for your collection. First. The vintage well-made one piece brass knobs are adorned with handsome detailing on both sides of the knobs, with an etched rim in the middle(picture 2) Next are fancy round trim pieces that fit against the plates/behind the knobs(picture 4) that also have marvelous detailing. The trim pieces sit on both sides of the door, as do the plates) The plates(picture 3) are well-cast and, again, are fancy shaped and detailed, Allt he pieces match, and together all 6 pieces(plus the spindle) make a remakable presence. Parts all screw together on the spindle, so no screws are needed. I have not seen another set like these. Arts and crafts era? Not sure, but nonetheless, a stunning set, with a superior patina.
