Vintage 1940's Solid Brass Screen Storm Door Handle
Up for sale is a vintage used solid brass screen or storm door handle. Not sure of the exact age. But probably from the 1940's era. I do NOT have the latch or screws that originally came with this handle. The handle has some scratches and wear from use. But the brass shines up well. One side of the handle is a golden brass color, but the edge and the back side have more of a coppery brass color. Please check out the pictures for the exact condition. This handle is in perfect working condition. The metal piece that slides and locks the handle in place works as well. The only stamping on this handle is"pat. pend. stamped on the locking device. Vintage Antique Screen Door Tubular Latch 1-1/4" Backset Brass - New Old Stock
This is a 1-1/4" backset. Tubular latch for a screen door. This is a beautiful antique piece of hardware that has never been installed and was only removed from the original packaging for pics. This hardware is solid brass(not brass plated like modern) and is very heavy for it's size. It does have a spring latch that retracts with either knob or outside lever. It also has a night latch that allows you to lock the door from the inside. Everything in the pic is included and will be packaged in it's original packaging. You can not buy quality hardware like this anymore.

Penn Antique Restoration. Restored Vintage Brass Screen Door Privacy Set w/Knob. Plates, Lock Elegant. Vintage, screen door lockset salvaged from a recently demolished. 1920's mansion in Eastern Long Island, NY(see last photos) The set consists of 1 brass knob. 1 brass lever, 2 stamped brass rosettes, 1 steel barrel lock w/brass latch, 1 bronze strike plate for the door jamb, 1 spindle with 2 setscrews to connect the knob& lever, and 4 screws to fasten the rosettes to the door. All brass parts are solid brass, not plated steel. Originally, all parts were copper-plated, however only traces of plating remain leaving the parts with a nice, distressed finish. The lock is reversible and could accommodate the swing of any door. This is not just a passage set; it also has a privacy system. There is a metal tab on the interior rosette. The knob is tarnished and has verdigris, the green oxidation. There is some light rust on the threaded rod. You can use these as they are or polish them.

This is a antique mortise set with solid brass handles for a screen door. It is marked Corbin. It is in working condition but does not have a key. The brass plate is 7" long and 2 1/4" wide. The mortise plate is 6 1/8" long and 1" wide. The mortise is 2 5/8" deep. 4 1/4" long, and 5/8" wide. The hole for the shaft is 2" to the center from the plate and 7/8" to the center from the top. A pair( not quite) of Stanley screen storm door latches. By looking at the instruction sheet there is 1 strike plate and the mounting screws are missing. The exposed parts are made of solid brass. not plated brass) The brass has some areas of tarnish and fine scratches from being shuffled around in the box over the years. the fine scratches are nothing that distracts from anything) The latches have a lever that allows the door to be locked from the inside of the house. Up for auction is an original vintage screen door knob and rim lock set. This beautiful lock set has a fine patina with a warm vintage paint covering some of it. Dated June 21. 1892 on the back of the lock. This set includes the lock latch piece. The back plate and a knob- handle combination with it's spindle. There is no catch included with this set. The latch piece also has a lock on it opperated from the inside only.
