Includes knobs. Back plates, and matching mortise lock. I will include a spindle and knob set screws. Mortise lock is fully functioning; I have a key that fits closely enough to demonstrate the lock bolt operates but isn’t a“perfect” fit, so the key won’t complete one full rotation. Most will open with an“after market” skeleton key available at Home Depot. Paint and other material has been cleaned off gently with non-corrosive cleaning and brass brushes. Up for auction here is a great estate find. A wonderfully ornate flat top door knob. Interesting design.Art Deco/ Arts n Crafts era. Small flowers. Leaf or flags, and two very small iron crosses on either side on the front, in which I wonder if it could have originated in Germany. The knob measures: 2" across. About 1 7/8" back to front, with a about 3" shaft, which is 1/4" in diameter, attached with a single screw. It has a great look with nice patina. I have not attempted to clean it. And will leave that up to it's new owner. I am selling this antique door knob. Just as I acquired it myself, in"as is vintage" condition, so please take a close look at the photos. There are a few dings and scratches, but should clean up well. seems fully functional, though there is some wear to the mechanism: It is about 5 3/4" x 1 3/4" but closer to 5 13/16" x 1 11/16. Up for auction is a nice Vintage Lot of 3 Door Knob Backplates- 2 Aluminum and 1 Brass Plated. These backplates have well aged black patina. Some light scratches, some brass plating worn off, one has black paint and the two aluminum ones have some oxidation on both front and back, all with some wear. The 2 aluminum backplates measure 6 9/16" long x 1 3/4" wide and the brass plated one measures 6" long x 2 1/4" wide. Great decorative/collector items or to match up with some antique door. This brass doorknob set is SOLID. With a threaded spindle. Knobs are secured by spinning on the knob then cranking down the set screw, allowing for 1/4 turn adjustments. This is a vintage spindle, too. Lots of replacement spindles are cast craptacular pot metal. This one appears to be good quality square stock that has been properly threaded. Offered is this matched set of 4 pairs of antique. Heavy, copper on brass door knobs(8 knobs, 4 stems, 7 set screws) Elegant scroll pattern with center medallion. The stems have the classic 3-length set holes. There are 7 set screws, 1 is missing. The door knobs are 2-1/4" diameter. I believe these were copper on brass and there are varying amounts of copper left. Some are worn down to the base brass, others retain a hint of the coppery color, one knob is very coppery. These have minimal issues, one knob is very slightly pushed in at the center, camera couldn't see it. Other than that, no dents or dings. The plate is in good conditions showing normal wear including surface pitting and scratches(see images) The solid brass back plate measures about 10 1/2 inches in height by 2 3/4 inches wide at the widest point. The distance(spacing) between the center of the opening for the connecting rod to the center of the top of the keyhole is 1 3/4"which is the normal spacing for the upper opening of a two key mortise lock. The plate has not been cleaned.but because it is brass it could easily be cleaned with polish or with dish washing soap and 000 or 0000 steel wool.
