Beautiful Bennington double door knobs with original post. Early 1920's. This was saved from a garage door that was being torn down in The West Central District of Fort Wayne. They do have a few chips around the back edges. But nothing that effects the smooth feel of these. Would look great in your historical home! I try to describe all my items to the best of my ability. Antique Ceramic Door Knob Trio Bennington Cast Iron Shank Nashua Lock Co c1855
Template 13- Use Advanced Builder Antique Ceramic Door Knob Trio Bennington Cast Iron Shank Nashua Lock Co c1855 You are bidding for these three beautiful. Imperfect, baked red clay/ceramic, Bennington door knobs. They were made by the Nashua Lock Co. Nashua, NH circa 1855! This is by far the most perfect specimen. It does have a nub that juts out from it's otherwise perfectly smooth and glazed surface. Since the nub itself is glazed. I safely assume it is a flaw that was from the manufacturing process. All three knobs are set in a cast iron shank. Two still have a solid seat. All three knobs have some paint on the shank that will be easily removed. But it must be done with care. This knob is of equal manufacturing condition to the above knob because even though it doesn't sport quite the swirl or contrast. It doesn't have the ... morenub. However, as seen in the above image there is a scuff upper right of center. The third knob has a shallow gouge in the finish and it would need an epoxy fill or similar and glaze touchup for perfect finish. More importantly with this knob. Is that it is the only knob that does not sit snug in it's cast iron shaft. This, too, would probably be easily cured(pun intended) with some epoxy. These knobs seems to have come in pairs with different shaped shanks. The first knob has a flange with a 3/4" OD and the other two have no flange and are 9/16" OD. This auction includes the original standard 9/32" shaft. Thanks for bidding. Please add me as a favorite seller to see more items like this. If this item isn't addressed accurately. Beautiful set of vintage Bennington Pottery ceramic knobs. 1 1/4" high(without screw stem) and 2 1/4" in diameter. Bases are 1 7/8" in diameter. 4 of them without any chips. 4 with minor chips to base edge and 1 with a larger chip to the front edge. X)

ANTIQUE RECLAIM SALVAGE 2 MEDIUM BROWN CERAMIC BENNINGTON DOOR KNOBS W SPINDLE
These two antique door knobs are have a medium brown hue and are more speckled rather than swirled. They are in very good condition with just typical surface wear due to use and age and they come with the spindle and screws. Just as a note these are the screws that were in them but they are a little on the big side. I have two other Bennington knobs listed. The shipping and handling are free. If shipping is charged on an item and you buy more than one item which has shipping I will be more than happy to combine to save you money. All my items have been stored in a smoke and pet free environment.
