The set has a Fleur De Lis pattern. It is all brass, a magnet does not stick. The knob is about 2 1/4 inch in diameter. There is an extra hole on one knob where it attaches to the spindle(my 8th photo) It would be hard to see when installed. The backplate is darkend at the top. The strike plate has a little bending on one end(my 6th photo) It's fairly soft brass so it could be straightend more though I doubt you would notice it when installed. The lock works fine. Antique Art Nouveau Brass Door Handle Lock backplate & knob LARGE 24" LONG
This is an authentic Art nouveau period brass door handle set. It is 24" long. It is solid brass and has beautiful patina. I bought it at an estate sale nearly 30 years ago. I was always hoping I would have a house to use it on but have decided not to put it on my mid-century ranch; and it wasn't suitable for the log cabin either. I'm just no fun that way. It's absolutely gorgeous. Original and looks hand-made. It includes the magnificently detailed front plate which is BIG at 24" long. Then it has the lock, knob and plate for the back side. There are a number of screws included. any missing are easily replaced. I saved 3 of the original stud hole covers but it requires at least 9- these are just like big studs that are tacked to furniture. A suitable replacement should be found on-line. I have left it unpolished with ... moreits original patina. My research on-line has found similar pieces to selling for between $450- $700 on architectural resell sites. This is RARE. I hope someone can use this on their home. 24" long or tall and 4" wide. Non-smoking home.

Really nice hard to find Russell Erwin lockset for your consideration. US and Canada Patents March and May 1900. Unusual hard to find set which includes two nicely patterned ornate backplates. Two doorknobs with patterning, mortise lock with matching faceplate as the included latch and deadbolt slide catch marked 1900 and a drive rod with a few set screws. Mortise lock latch springs feel good although should have a good cleaning and lube for optimal operation. Mortise box looks pressed and peened. not cast iron. Marked Russell Erwin mfg co. and some other stuff that is hard to read. Original finish on all the pieces is worn although it looks like a craftsman period style black with copper Jappanned appearance. Collars on backplates are good and the set screw opening are good on the knob necks for reuse. Questions encouraged and welcome otherwise ... morewhat you se is what you get. The backplate escutcheon is in a fancy open pattern& measures approx. 2" x 5 3/4" The T-Handle is 2 3/8" in a fancy raised pattern. The lock moves when turned, is 3/4" thick and has some rust on it. One pair/set of two(2) vintage antique black glass porcelain doorknobs. Aside from some paint. The doorknobs are in really good condition with no visible chips or cracks. The mortise lock box comes with 2 screws but is not completely functional. The end has some neat engraved scroll work that matches the backplate. The backplate also comes with 2 screws, has the same neat scroll work and a spike on the back, but has a chip out of the raised part that fits around the base of the knob. This is a stunning lot of 3 antique solid bronze door knobs. Back plates, and complete hardware. they are three matching sets but all a little different in size. they all have the hardware boxes that would be set in the door. the two large have the key hole and lock right in the box. all the knobs are made of bronze which have acquired a wonderful patina from age. they all have bronze backplates and the lock boxes all have bronze finishing pieces. they are all in great antique shape. On the back is a small logo with a walking bear and what looks like FAREE but just a guess as I have not seen this mark before. Measures 2 9/16" square and 3 1/8" in diamond position.
