Up for auction here is a great estate find. A wonderfully ornate flat top door knob. Interesting design.Art Deco/ Arts n Crafts era. Small flowers. Leaf or flags, and two very small iron crosses on either side on the front, in which I wonder if it could have originated in Germany. The knob measures: 2" across. About 1 7/8" back to front, with a about 3" shaft, which is 1/4" in diameter, attached with a single screw. It has a great look with nice patina. I have not attempted to clean it. The brass has an aged patina look with some smooth signs of wear from years of use. The back of the door knob has very heavy oxidation and is almost brown in color. BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE PRESSED BRASS ORNATE DOOR KNOB - AMAZING DETAIL
I bought this beautiful ornate pressed brass door knob many years ago while foraging at an architectural antique salvage company(was looking for glass knobs) It was all alone and showed no wear plus the detail is absolutely incredible. Of course I had to possess it and had every intention of using it in my home at the time. I took it to a local metal smith and had it professionally cleaned and sealed. I never did install it. Currently live in an old Farmhouse and this fancy knob just is not appropriate here. Time for it to find a great new home!

Mortise Lock and Screws Very Hard To Find Set from the 1870's. They are over 140 years old. When Quality Workmanship and Materials were used at thier best! Fine Antique Brass Door Handle it has an ornate pierced decoration this is a large piece which would suit most antique doors. it measures approx 26cms long i would think this is a Victorian piece however it may be later it is stamped with a"B" on both plate and handle the cosmetic condition is excellent there are no dents. it has its aged patina and colour. however i feel this would benefit from a fine polish a really fine example which would look outstanding on an Antique Door.

The thick plates are approximately 7 1/8” long and approximately 2 ¼” wide; also weigh approximately 7 oz each and have numbers that appear to be 1460 14 on the backs of each(could be 1466 14) There are some scratches, some bends, some paint and some tarnish thru out. This auction is for a Antique Ornate Brass Door Knob Back Plate 10 1/2 inch Entryway with Two Keyholes. The plate is in good condition showing normal wear including scratches and scuffs(see images) There are three small holes around the opening for the connecting rod. The solid brass back plate measures about 10 1/2 inches in height by 2 3/4 inches wide. The distance(spacing) between the center of the opening for the connecting rod to the center of the top of the upper keyhole is 1 3/4"and about 3 1/8 inches to the center of the top of the second keyhole.
