2 Large Stone Carved Beads Nayarit Ancient Artifacts Pre-Columbian NR
Hi. I have 2 large very nice ancient stone beads for auction. These are a cream color. I purchased these several years ago from the estate of an archaeologist that worked in Mexico in the 50's and 60's. He found these at the ruins of Santa Maria del Oro in Nayarit, Mexico. These are a very large size compared to most that are on Ebay. They are about the same diameter as the half dollar pictured. The half dollar is for size comparison only and is not included in this auction. This is guaranteed to be ancient. I combine shipping. Thanks for looking.
Mayan Dignitary Ex-Gallery Ancient Pottery Artifact Pre-Columbian NR
Hi. I have an incredible Mayan Dignitary figure for auction. This great ancient artifact came Arte Primitivo Howard Rose Gallery in New York. It was from the estate of Imre& Nicholas T. Molnar that their collection was acquired from 1960-1978. This figure is a Mayan Dignitary wearing an elaborate zoomorphic headdress. He has an ornate necklace and ear spools. This impressive artifact would be a great addition to any collection. I made the mount myself. It's nothing special but helps display the piece. I will include it with this auction. You can bid with confidence with this impressive and very detailed artifact. I use a half dollar for size comparison only and it is not included in this auction. I combine shipping. Solid Gold Chavin Ear Rings Ancient Artifacts Pre-Columbian Peru NR
Hi. I have a pair of solid gold Chavin earrings for auction. These ancient artifacts are from the Chavin culture of Peru. These awesome rare gold artifacts come in a felt lined wood case. The tag on the display says Chavin 1,000 years. The tag is wrong. The Chavin culture was mainly from 900 BC- 100 AD, making this 2,000 years old. Either way, these are incredible. They are solid stamped gold. They are very fragile. they display nicely, but they really should have a professional restoration because of the quality of the artifacts, and being gold. These gold earrings are guaranteed ancient. These gold artifacts would be a great addition to any collection. I combine shipping. Ancient Mezcala Jade Stone Statue Artifact Pre-Columbian Rare Style NR
Hi. I have a very nice Mezcala statue for auction. I own a few different Mezcala figures, and have seen hundreds. This one is different. Most of the Mezcala figures are thicker, this is very thin. It is no more than a quarter inch thick. This statuem was made with an arrowhead drill technique. You can visibly see all the spots all around it where it was hand drilled to cut and scuplt it. This drilling is the same way that they drill out the top of a pendant for suspension. This piece has visible weathering and there is no denying it's age. It dates 200 BC- 200AD. I made the stand to make it more presentable, and it's included. It's a shame that it wasn't recovered with the other leg intact. This came from an old collection. Large Jade Mayan Monkey Bead Ancient Artifact Stone Pre-Columbian NR
Hi. I have an incredible Mayan monkey bead for auction. This ancient stone artifact appears to be jade or a mottled jade. It has the face and body of the monkey on front, and its tail in back. I was trying to get good pictures of the inside of this piece. It was bi-conically drilled. There is a fairly large h at either end, but you can only see a small hole when looking thru it. The person that made this many years ago, worked like heck to get the hole thru it. It has mineral deposits thru out this piece. I purchased this many years ago from an ol collection. This awesome Mayan monkey would look great mounted on a display. I have always liked this one. I use the half dollar for size comparison only and it is not included in this auction. Mayan Harvest Idol Terracota Figurines Ancient Artifact Pre-Columbian Maize Gods
I have for sale 3 small Mayan artifacts in a nice decorative case. The label on the display case reads"Three pre-Columbian Mayan idol harvest idols- These were placed in their field to appease their gods and ensure a good harvest" The artifacts are in good condition. Considering their age-easily over 500 years old. However, due to the inherent fragile nature of the neck area on the figurines, both full-bodied figurines have a complete crack that separates the head from the body. The smaller figurine also appears to have a fracture but has stayed intact. They could easily be restored by a little bit of adhesive but I have chosen not to so as to allow the next owner the freedom to choose. Despite the cracks, these items have retained much of their original design with very little erosion. As seen in the photographs, the design contours ... morein the terracotta are in good condition and the handcrafted nature of these items are evidenced by their varying black and brown coloration. This is most likely a result of the curing process, similar to how other old world pottery was made. These artifacts are quite rare and interesting. Given their important role in the Mayan crop planting and harvest ceremonies. The Mayans used an agricultural technique called"slash-and-burn" where woodlands were cut down and burned in order to create fields to grow crops. This style of agriculture was not particularly sustainable for large populations because the soil quality would eventually degrade. The Mayans mainly grew maize and would sow crops in May and harvest them in November. To encourage a bountiful harvest. The Mayans would perform ritualistic ceremonies, including a ceremonial planting of these idols to curry favor with their gods. Historical records of the Mayan religion explains that in their mythology. Deities were involved in all aspects of life, including creating cornfields, planting and harvested corn, conducting business, and forming alliances. Pottery scenes have shown what appears to be two gods sitting

Amazing Aztec Large Jade Mask Axe? Ancient Artifact Pre-Columbian NR
Hi I have an incredible artifact that was found in Aztec ruins in the 1950's. This awesome green stone mask looks like it might have doubled for a ceremonial axe. There's a tag on the back that says Found in Aztec ruins. This artifact looks much older than Aztec. The Aztecs were known for collecting artifacts of other cultures. And in some cases inhabiting cities of other people. I'm not sure if this is jade, serpentine, or a similar looking stone. It is obviously ancient. I had always wanted to have a professional mount made for this. This awesome stone artifact could be a center piece for any collection. This is a very heavy and large artifact. It came from the estate of an old collector and traveler. There was no further paperwork saying which ruin it was found in. It would have been nice if they had written that on the tag ... morealso. The Aztec culture was only around for 150-200 years, I believe this artifact is well over 1,000 years old. It is guaranteed ancient. I can combine shipping. Thanks for looking.
Larger Monte Alban Ancient Artifacts Mayan Pottery Pre-Columbian NR
Hi. I have 3 larger ancient heads for auction. These came from the ruins of Monte Alban and Mitla in Oaxaca, Mexico. These artifacts were recovered in 1968. They have info with each on saying which specific ruin they were found in. There are color photo slides of when they were found. I had purchased several of these from the lady that acquired them. If 2 of these look familiar, I had 2 of them listed a couple weeks ago and the winner never paid for them. Since then i found another one of them, so I'm including it in this auction. The head in the upper left, says carved stone. It has the appearance of stone but,I believe it is very hard pottery. These awesome ancient artifacts are neat that they have the documentation and photos with them. These are guaranteed ancient. I combine shipping. Thanks for looking.
Amazing Olmec Stone Figure Ex-Gallery Pre-Columbian Ancient Artifact NR
Hi I have an awesome Olmec stone figure for auction. This white stone Olmec figure is amazing in many ways. First off this Olmec figure is extremely thin. The finess how they carved it is incredible. One of the other unique things is the open ears. You can see thru them. The mineral deposits on this ancient artifact are one of the testaments to its age. I have never seen another Olmec stone artifact like this. I use a half dollar for size comparison only and it is not included in this auction. I can combine shipping. Thanks for looking.
Ancient Pre-Columbian Veracruz Head with Earring

Mezcala Green Stone Head Ancient Artifact Pre-Columbian Mayan NR
Hi I have a Mezcala Guerrero green stone head for auction. This Mezcala head is quite different than most that you see. Because of the hat. Rarely do you ever see a hat on a Mezcala figure, let alone a round one like this. That's one of the reasons I acquired this many years ago from an old collection. The face is stylized in typical Mezcala style. This piece dates to their later period 200-600 AD. The Mezcala artifacts were valued by other cultures as well. Mezcala artifacts have been recovered in Aztec sites, Teotihuacan, and others. The half dollar is for size comparison only and is not included in this auction. I combine shipping. Awesome Olmec Rare Stone Figure Pre-Columbian Ancient Artifact Mayan NR
Hi. I have an incredible Olmec stone figure for auction. The Olmec figure is laying on his side and he is holding two offering bowls, with his legs behind him. I'm not sure what type of stone this is, but there are parts that shine like mica. I took a picture of the head to show one of the spots. I have seen Olmec figures with offering bowls before, but never two bowls. I feel this is very for a number of reasons: the age 800-200 BC, the type of stone, the two offering bowls, and the fact that it is just plain awesome. There are numerous deposits, and some chipping and weathering. This has been one of my favorites for many years. I acquired this from an old collection. I use a half dollar for size comparison and it is not included in this auction. I can combine shipping. thanks for looking.

Huge Olmec Rare Stone Bead Pre-Columbian Ancient Artifact Mayan Mexico NR
Hi. I have a huge Olmec stone bead for auction. This awesome artifact was used as a massive bead, or possibly a staff top, or some other ceremonial purpose. This isa very solid and heavy piece. It has a very striking appearance. This has always been one of my favorites. I have had it sitting on the shelf by my desk for many years. Large Veracruz Totonac Figure Pottery Ancient Artifact Pre-Columbian Mayan NR
Hi. I have an awesome Veracruz Totonac platform figure for auction. This figure is of an old seated man. This great figure was discovered in the ruins of Cerro De La Mesa in Veracruz. This old man came from the Totonac Culture and dates 500-700AD. I have seen other very similar platform figures that were called Coast Watchers. This old figure has large ear spools, a neck ornament, and headdress. When I first bought this many years ago, I thought that half of the headdress was missing. I believe that is the way the headdress was designed to look, as there is no sign of the other part being attached or broken off. The hands have been lost to time, and there have been repairs to the legs. This platform figure had felt attached to the bottom of it. This is a very presentable figure that gets attention. Ancient Civilization Pre-Columbian Mayan Artifact from Honduras
From Honduras. From a fisherman in a dugout canoe comes this piece of Ancient Mayan History. This little man's head was found when the fisherman was digging a hole in the ground to hide his money. Instead he found this little head. He said it was the head of a parrot. To me it looked more like a man with a hat on. What ever it is though, it is very old. The fisherman was digging the hole next to a pile of rocks. Only thing was, the pile of rocks he showed me wasn't an ordinary pile of rocks. It was the ruins of some kind of small structure. Perhaps a small Mayan Oratory or something. Anyway this piece is very old. Hundreds if not thousands of years old. If you buy it, keep it safe, and away from kids-for the sake of this priceless piece of history, if not for your children's sake-if they broke it.
