The leg mounts were replaced with heavy duty mounts and sturdy wooden legs. This chair is stronger than original. However the legs screw in and could easily be replaced if you want to install your own legs. The upholstery is in fantastic condition with no rips or stains. There is a touch of rub wear in the lower part of both front corners and a small area of loose stitching in one corner(see closeup) Some rips in the black mesh on the bottom. Very rare pieces! Sofa and chair have original upholstery and sit atop two beautiful walnut veneer platforms. Can be arranged in an L shape or showcased separately. There is a built in planter on the chair platform with original plants. Not pictured are 4 throw pillows(minus inserts) and 4 arm covers. The sofa and chair can be easily removed from the platforms for transport or to be re-upholstered if desired. CONDITION: Great vintage condition with normal wear due to age and use. There are scratches and nicks/dings in the walnut veneer due to age and use(most along edges of platforms- most noticeable are pictured) There are also some lighter areas on the platform/table tops and ring marks. There are some scuffs on the black platform underneath the walnut platform. The original upholstery has no rips/tears/holes– it is somewhat worn along the chair upper edges and there is a small black mark on the back of the sofa. It could benefit from a professional cleaning. Would look beautiful reupholstered in the fabric of your choice. The cushion on the seat of the chair is a bit broken down. There are a few broken straps under the chair. But it functions OK. There are 4 zippered throw pillow covers and 4 arm covers included but not pictured. I am moving again and am unable to take this sofa with me. The sofa is in all original and excellent condition. The bottom is spring supported. Cushions are original fabric. Wood is in very good condition. There is a slight paint scuff mark on one side that could be removed by a professional. It is barely noticeable. All 3 said they where designed by Bruno Mathsson, and all three sold in the $7k to 9K range! I have only seen one other with the exact same fabric. But it was on a rare knoll sofa. DIMENSIONS: 92.5" wide x 34" deep. And 24.5" high. CONDITION: Very good condition for age. There where a few repairs to the fabric. One patch on right front armrest. And a seam re-sewn on top side middle of right arm. See detailed pictures. The patch was salvaged from under the cushion from sofa. Very inconspicuous. Very comfortable to sit in. The cushions are heavy and firm and not cushy. Just may need reupholstered if desired but it is pretty clean with a few stains on opposite side of a couple. Wood appears to be Maple, some very slight water marks on bottoms of legs,was like that when I bought it. Upholstery was professionally done using the original cushions and back rests.
