There are some very minor chips to the glass, though they are not really visible once the glass is in place and some scratches/wear to the table here and there including a more notable area right in front of the small caned door as seen in image#7 below. The bookcase compartments have a slight downward angle to them from use over the years but this does not affect them structurally and is common spacing in the joints from the 50+ years of use. The foam is still usable though it is starting to become less soft from age. The original green vinyl is in overall good condition with no rips or holes. Please keep in mind that this set came from the original owners and they had it in their basement/family room for 50+ years. The vinyl does have a musty smell to it. HELLO AND WELCOME Up for your consideration is a lovely vintage Mid Century Danish Modern Sofa and Loveseat Classic Danish Modern teak? wood-strong- solid structure-no wobbles- very sturdy! The sofa has 6 cushions all which need covering. There is 6 cushion covers for the sofa included in the listing- in the pictures I took them off all but one cover so you can see the covers are striped with velcour closures. Originial cushion covers are darker beige and have a zippered closure.The striped covers fit right over the originials. The original cushion covers are torn on the sides and a few buttons are missing- I am assuming that is why the owner recovered the sofa. The foam inside still looks good no drying. The wood on both loveseat and sofa has some scratches. Wall rubs and on one leg which I took a picture of has a chip on the bottom inside ... moreof the leg. Two of the straps are worn but still intact. The rest of the straps on both sofa and loveseat are great and all are tight in place. Arms show some wear/back slats are great. Structure is sound. This is beautiful. About 5x5 2 parts. The story I was told is that this was custom made in Asia in the 60's for an affluent ship captain. I can't confirm any of that but no one I have ever showed it to has ever seen anything like it and it has no markings. Very well built and in excellent condition. It has teak trims. There is a storage compartment that comes out like a trundle. The cushions on the back hook on yo the back board in a very unique way. Domino Mobler sofa. In very good condition considering it's age and use.is approx. 72" wide x 30" tall x 30" deep. The fabric(wool. I believe) is in great condition with very little wear at all, no stains, tears or bad smells.one cushion has original tag attached and I have no reason to believe the upholstery has ever been replaced. Oatmeal color with a nubby texture, and since it's wool, yes, it's a bit scratchy.so if you're sensitive to that please don't buy a wool sofa! Appears to be a nice, heavy fabric that will wear well. There are a few"pulls" in the fabric but they are minor and hard to see with it's texture. The area around the screws that attach the cushions to the frame are a bit worn and dirty. I do not know if this sofa has been in a smoking enviornment, it doesn't smell like ... moresmoke. I do have cats but they have not been on the sofa ever, I do not know if the sofa previously ever had pets on it but I do not see any sign of that. The wood frame(teak) is in good-very good condition. The finish is in good shape with no discernible fading. There are scratches, most of them pictured, in the following locations: base of the legs has the worst scuffs/scratches/marks, including some that are quite long. Some of this may be surface and removable, I've made no attempt to clean or refinish the wood. There is a small nick/scratch on top of one arm, pictured. There is a scratch on underside of one arm, and some on the front rail under the cushions. The front top of the posts have some light scratches, and there are heavy scratches and wear in the areas where to cushions attach to the frame's hardware. Please note that almost all of the worst scratches, etc. are in locations that are normally either not readily visible or hard to see. The left side posts and rails are coming a bit detached from each other, this can be easily repaired.you can see the slight gap in one picture. 1960's Adrian Pearsall style Danish Modern Sofa MID CENTURY retro Sectional
Adrian Pearsall/ Dunbar style mid century three piece sectional. I bought these 8 years ago and had them recovered in scarlet red. They have been in my vacation house in central Wisconsin since then. Not perfect but probably a solid'excellent minus' condition. The single seat with table top features a very cheesy fake wood top. Very long sofa approximately 112" end to end. Vintage Dux Scandinavian Originals Danish Modern Style Sofa
1950s Scandanavian mid-century couch. It's got the original cushions and all so it's very firm. I bought it as a project. But never got around to it. It was being sold online for $1200, but the lady sold it to me for $600 and I paid $300 to get it here. One of the legs broke when getting it moved so the back corner is propped up on books. Update to comments in RED.I've since disassembled this end of the sofa and found at some point someone glued these pieces together causing the separation(I think it was dong long ago as the glue was old and dried out)I(carefully) disassembled this end and removed the old glue. Then reassembled it. So now the gaps are much tighter and it looks better. I did notice that some glue had gotten on to the finish and so add that to the list of scratches, etc. that you may want to remove.I didn't attempt it. Domino Mobler sofa. In very good condition considering its age and use.is approx. 72" wide x 30" tall x 30" deep. The fabric(wool. I believe) is in great condition with very little wear at all, no stains, tears or bad smells.one cushion has original tag attached and I have no reason to believe the upholstery has ever been ... morereplaced. Oatmeal color with a nubby texture, and since it's wool, yes, it's a bit scratchy.so if you're sensitive to that please don't buy a wool sofa! Appears to be a nice, heavy fabric that will wear well. There are a few"pulls" in the fabric but they are minor and hard to see within it's texture. The area around the screws that attach the cushions to the frame are a bit worn and dirty. I do not know if this sofa has been in a smoking enviornment, it doesn't smell like smoke. I do have cats but they have not been on the sofa ever, I do not know if the sofa previously ever had pets on or around it. The wood frame(teak) is in good-very good condition. The finish is in good shape with no discernible fading. There are scratches, most of them pictured, in the following locations: base of the legs has the worst scuffs/scratches/marks(i.e. old paint bits) including some that are quite long. Some of this may be surface and removable, I've made no attempt to clean or refinish the wood. There is a small nick/scratch on top of one arm, pictured. Nice low floating profile and super comfortable! Retains original Dux manufacturer label. I have only seen 3 others Dux models like this online. All 3 said they where designed by Bruno Mathsson, and all three sold in the $7k to 12K range! I have only seen one other with the exact same fabric. But it was on a rare knoll sofa. DIMENSIONS: 92.5" wide x 34" deep. And 24.5" high. CONDITION: Very good condition for age. There where a few repairs to the fabric. One patch on right front armrest. And a seam re-sewn on top side middle of right arm. See detailed pictures. The patch was salvaged from under the cushion from sofa. Very inconspicuous.
