Up for auction is this danish modern Greta Jalk teak table. this table has no markings but reference material attributes it to France and Son as the manufacturer. This table is in very nice condition with less than average wear. The table measures about 17" squre by 19" tall. This piece is unsigned or marked. I have had other very well known Jalk pieces and they were not marked or signed as well. The construction details and design elements are identical. Some of the mother-of-pearl key pads are cracked& a few look like they are newer& were replaced at one time. Its missing one of the brace support pieces on the end as shown in the last picture. The piece the mouthpiece goes into has lost all its finish& the large end& horn piece have lost some of it finish. Solid& sturdy, the keys move smooth& freely. this is a rare pair of arne vodder lounge chairs. they are in very good condition and are rock solid. they seem to be a very obscure model. though similar to his dining chairs these sit as parlor/lounge chairs. the seats have been rebuilt at some point. the rattan backs are very good with no issues. one leg does have a water stain at the bottom. the original metal.Circular tags were removed when the seat strapping was replaced. thanks for looking.

Here is a Danish style Teak Coffee Table. Designed by Edvard Kindt-Larsen for the France& Sons company. This dates to the late 50s or early 60s. It came from a smoke and pet free home. The table measures approx 47.5 long x 20 wide x 18 inches Tall This table features all teak construction. But the top is likely not solid teak, it has teak edge lips on both ends. The tapered legs and horizontal support beams are likely solid teak. This table retains its original circular France& Sons mark on underside of top. Along with stamped Danish mark. Condition: I rate the condition 8 or 9 on a 1-10 scale. But its vintage. And my vintage eyes think its just fine. Upon first looking at this table. You think its brand new, I only dusted it off before the pictures. I sat it in my living room for a week. Designed by Edvard Kindt-Larsen for the France& Sons company. This dates to the late 50s or early 60s. It came from a smoke and pet free home. The table measures approx 47.5 long x 20 wide x 18 inches Tall This table features all teak construction. But the top is likely not solid teak, it has teak edge lips on both ends. The tapered legs and horizontal support beams are likely solid teak. This table retains its original circular France& Sons mark on underside of top. Along with stamped Danish mark. Condition: I rate the condition 8 or 9 on a 1-10 scale. But its vintage. And my vintage eyes think its just fine. Upon first looking at this table. You think ... moreits brand new, I only dusted it off before the pictures. I sat it in my living room for a week. And after seeing it every day, started to see some of the very light scratches in the top surface. They are not apparent right away. But there is a 12 x 10 area where some surface was scuffed very lightly. I would probably never be able to photo this light scuff. But have tried. Otherwise its very tight and clean. Up for consideration is Convertible Danish Modern Settee Daybed designed by Peter Hvidt for France& Son. The piece measures 31 inches tall by 64 inches long in the up position with a depth of 30 inches. With the arms down the sofa is approximately 94 inches. The seat height is 17 inches. With a click of a button on the back each arm rest folds down into a full flat lounge or daybed. The back cushions double as cushions or pillows on the ends. Surprising the Cushions along the back are tapered or triangular and are comfortable when one rests their head. They have some sort of spring assembly within. Please note that you see don't see this version to often and when you do quite often the cushions are just custom facsimiles.thereof.these are original and what they should look like.no button and tuck etc.or one long cushion. The cushion ... morefit right over the frame of the arm rests. The arm rests are covered in the center with caning on both sides. This material is original and in fine condition meaning no tears or holes. Please note that the caning is rather formidable. Not light and easy to poke through. The piece is labeled with the"FF" monogram and on the inside of the frame it is stamped"Made in Denmark" with the"FF" burnmark. The piece sports it's original teal material. The previous owner was said to have covered it in the late 70's with a zip on slip covers with a large floral heavy textile. The slip covers were removed to reveal this incredible blue teal material. The coloration resembles the close up photo shown as the camera automatically justified a slightly differing color. No visual repairs. all the spring work is fine and ultra clean. This is about as good as it is going to get at be as close to showroom original condition. It isn't perfect but it's pretty close. There is some very light wear commensurate with age. Beautiful Mid Century Danish Modern teak dining set designed by Peter Hvidt& Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for France& Sons. ^ chairs include one Captain's chair. When I purchased this set. The chairs had two sets of upholstery on them; an 80's reupholster that went over the original camel colored leather. The original camel colored leather was beyond repair. I decided to keep the same color- and used 100% genuine leather. I also had 1" of cushion inserted, and even though the original straps were still okay underneath I went ahead and had them replaced, too. There are some slight scuffs on the chair legs. And some deep abrasions on the legs of the table as seen in picture 5. In picture 9 you can see a repair on a side chair leg. Limoges,France~LSSLSS9 Lewis Strauss & Sons~~1880'-1930's~9" Round Scalloped
SA Beautiful 9" plate LSS9 by Lewis Strauss& Sons. 1869-1930's) This has a 1" heavy Gold Gilded Band around it's edges and an ornate Medallion center. The edges are scalloped and ornately decorated with a raised design. On the back of the plate is a black star that says Limoges. Under this black star it says France. In the middle of this circle stamp t here is a little circle. With a line coming from it. That joins the star where two points come together. Next to this mark is another mark that is a light blue doughnut shaped circle that says Limoges and under it is also marked France. The blue stamp is blurred but legible. This is part of a set of China by that was imported out of New York and produced in Europe. The set was sold at Macy's in New York. I did find some pieces on Replacement's. But they didn't ... morehave any 9" plates. I believe that this is a salad plate. This plate is in beautiful condition. No chips or scratches that I can see.

Here I have a wonderful old Limoges T&V tankard made in France eons ago that I purchased in Philadelphia back in the mid 1990's. It's very good-sized at nearly six inches in height and the artwork is just marvelous. Drink out it or enjoy it as a fabulous display piece. Our Founders(some of them) enjoyed a good ale(or two) at the City Tavern! This porcelain tankard/mug is in wonderful condition with no cracks or chips. Set of two(2) vintage mid-century(Eames-era) Danish modern FD185 teak and cane side chairs designed by Arne Vodder; manufactured by France& Daverkosen(later France& Sons) and imported to North America by John Stuart Inc. being sold in as-found. Unrestored condition, these beautifully designed and constructed chairs can be fully rehabilitated relatively easily and inexpensively. The chairs are in good. Solid condition with no problems to the vinyl seat portion, but with the following minor issues: there are two very small and unseen teak chips(one pictured) to the joint area on the underside of the chair, as well as one joint that needs to be re-glued(also pictured) on the backrest, there is a break to the cane on one of the chairs(can either be entirely replaced or the existing cane patched on the reverse) and some of the brass screw-mounts ... moreneed to be patched from the frontside(also pictured) Each chair measures approx. 22" wide x 20" deep x 34" high. It is hand-painted with an ornate border of pink florals against a green panel, with a raised pattern and lots of gold detail. A very different Limoge Depose plate! This one is double copper luster! I have not seen one like this before. Very pretty! Scalloped rim with a delicate floral daisy design. Embossed. Measures just over 9" across. Fully marked on back Green France Depose Limoges mark with a GM(G superimposed over an M) monogram in the center that was used by J. Granger who became head of the Mavaleix factory around 1922. This mark was used from 1922 to 1938. Blue. L S& S Limoges France mark used by Lewis Straus and Sons from the 1890's to the 1920's. Features The American Picker shop, and antique stores. Here is a nice Danish Mid-Century modern. Teak side table. It was designed in 1957 by danish designers Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard Nielsen. For France& Son company. An all teak wood piece. An organic design, with smooth rounded corners. Its so well built. Like all the wonderful MCM pieces I find and offer. Construction features include unscrewable legs. To make it compact for economical shipping to your door! Part of the Minerva table collection. And from a very swank, danish modern home. The side table has a lower cane shelf. And smooth round tapered legs. This came from a home with ... moreother pieces by Kai Kristiansen. Klint Klein, Bramin, Erik Kirkegaard, Alfred Kill, Jørgen Kastholm& Preben Fabricius, and Hans Olsen, Hans Wegner and Finn Juhl. From the web. A little background on the manufacturer: France& Daverkosen. Later known as France& Son, was one of Denmark´s greatest makers of furniture. They worked with several of the big names from the era when Danish design conquered the world. Originally the company got its name after Mr. France moved from the UK to Denmark and met his partner. Cabinet maker Mr. Daverkosen. Later on the company became France& Son as Julian France joined in his father´s footsteps. The company was sold to Poul Cadovious in 1964 and existed under the name CADO. Condition Very good with hardly any scratches to report. No major nicks. I have only dusted it. And don't think it needs attention. I feel the top may need oiled again to revive the beautiful wood. I will do that for you. If you are wood shy. Cane in very good condition. LS&S Lewis Strauss& Sons~Limoges France Plate~Handpainted~Antique This is for a very nice hand painted L. Straus& Sons Limoges France floral pattern plate marked on bottom"LS&S" used from 1891-1917. The plate has sculpted edges and measures 9" across. Lewis Strauss& Sons were American importers of European made fine china including Limoges from 1869-1924 when the mark and name changed. There appears to have some paint chipped from the petals of the flowers(see picture) and the gold trim has many rub spots. No chips. Cracks or crazing.
