Condition: New other (see details) Location: Oak Park, United States DETAILS This appears to be a very early LC 3 sofa but I'm having a hard time identifying it specifically. The only markings are a"made in Italy" ... moresticker on the back. Regardless of name it is a high quality heavy piece that will make quit the statement in your modern setting. This sofa is in very good as found vintage condition. The black metal frame is heavy and has slight scuffs and dings. All very age appropriate. This type of piece doesn't want to be restored. Instead, wants to be left original and let its history be shown. The vinyl strapping is all in near perfect condition. The leather is thick. Soft and very comfortable. It has that warn in quality that can only come from aged leather. There are no rips or tears just a few scuffs and scratches and that slight crackling in certain areas that comes from old warn in leather. The main scratches are on the underneath of the bottom cushions so they will never be seen once the sofa is set up. Please see photos. The cushions are foam and down filled. DIMENSIONS. 67" long x 28" deep and 23" tall. SHIPPING. The sofa is available for pick up in Orlando once funds have cleared or I will be happy to assist your chosen shipper. If you are looking. You know about this time design chair and the going prices. This is a good quality and accurate reproduction Le Corbusier Chaise chair. The leather. Chair suspension, chrome and paint are in pretty good shape. It is only missing two of the plastic/rubber carpet protectors(see eBay for spare feet) and the head cushion. Nevertheless. You can have 95% of the visual effect and comfort of this chair for substantially reduced cost through me. I found the round head pillow to be too high. Stiff and uncomfortable anyways. If you later decide you must have the two plastic carpet protectors. You can buy 4 of them on eBay for $44 and sell the 2 leftover on eBay for $22. They were a special order for an architecture firm. They have real sage green suede on them. This is not the cheap ultra suede. This is real leather. Overall they are in great shape. Frames are solid. Both pieces are engraved under the left arm with Corbusier's signature and serial number. Also under the seat the black decking is embossed with the Cassina logo(see pic) The only thing I noticed on them was two faint pen marks on the chair. You don't notice them unless you get real close! I researched how to clean real suede online and it said don't use any chemicals at all. It suggested sanding them lightly with sandpaper. A very fine 1960's Le Cobusier design chaise lounge made by Cassina of Italy. It is made of chrome finish tubular steel. The seat supports are of rubber. The upholstery is of cowhide. The headrest is of black leather? With a zipper. The headrest has brass buckles and leather straps. The straps that were attached to the upholsrery have worn off. Paper labels of Cassina on the black finished iron foot base. The base is 36" wide by 12" tall by 19-1/2" deep. The cowhide is 72" long by 17" wide. The lounge is 63" long by 20-1/2" wide by 17" tall at head. The tubular steel. Rubber supports, black iron base, and headrest, are fine. The cowhide has some small wear spots to hairs here or there.
