Edward Wormley Settee Needs Restoration
Here we have an Edward Wormley Dunbar settee. It measures 55" long. 32.5" front to back, and 28" tall. The seat is 47" wide. 24" deep, and 15.5" high. The upholstery is not original and has some cat scratch damage on the right corner(see close-up picture) The foam in the loose seat cushion has deteriorated. It is very sturdy and the legs are in original. Excellent condition. Ships via Greyhound bus to the the lower 48 United States. Greyhound will take the settee to the bus station of your choice and you pick it up from there.

The Style and Quality of this sofa consistent with Dunbar. Fresh from a high end estate. You will find the construction of this sofa Expertly Constructed. Extremely Sturdy and Heavy(unmatched in today's market) This Sofa is not a redo however does show some signs of wear consistent with age of this item. I was told a family member that the sofa was reupholstered in the early 1970's to its current white vinyl upholstery. At that time their interior design theme went to black and white. Sofa features. One seat cushion and 4 back cushions. Special feature is sofa has a long hinge that spans the back of the sofa. Upon close inspection this hinged back allows the back rest to be reclined ... moreto a 45 degree angle for extra comfort(see photos) Perhaps this intentional feature is to allow more room for use as a day bed. Condition Mention’s: Sofa shows extremely well with only minor wear to the white vinyl upholstery. The underside of the seat cushion is photographed with a few marks. Use-related wear to the legs(particularly the front legs) including scattered scuffs and rubs. Notice that the base attaches to the frame with 4 screws at each leg- only 2 of the 4 screws are present at each leg. UPHOLSTERY: The upholstery is not original. There is scattered. Original Edward Wormley Dunbar Sofa Signed On Decking Estate Fresh Great Color
Here is a Dunbar sofa in a rust color that lightens up when the fabric is brushed over. There is of course some age appropriate wear but most of what you see is the color change. It is 80" long. The back is 28" high and the arms are 23" high. The seat is 16" tall and it would extend out 36" from a wall. There are no rips or tears and the frame is solid with one chipped area on a back leg.
