This is a lovely silverplated shell dish that I believe to be called Hollowware. This dish measures 16" in length and 13 1/2" in width and an appr. depth of 2 3/4" The back is marked English Silver Mfg. Corp. with the number 38 Made in USA. It also has the mark MRR with a F about the R and a S below the R. There is also a picture of the bust of a man next to the mark. This is a beautiful serving dish that would enhance any table and is quite heavy. It is in good condition just could use a little bit more polishing! GORGEOUS HUGE 16D" English Silver Mfg Corp Shell Bowl Platter ORNATE DESIGN USA!
Here we have an absolutely GORGEOUS and HUGE English Silver plate shell bowl or platter with a very ORNATE DESIGN in relief of a large shell. Scrolls, leaves and more! It has three"feet" that are impressed in the bowl. Smooth border around except for the"handle" which is the ORNATE detailed part. It is engraved with several things. One is"English Silver Mfg Corp" then a shield with MRR and S under it, and what looks like a male's profile and"Made in USA. It is HUGE at 16" by 13 1/2" and is 3" tall. Great condition with no dings or corrosion and only a little light discoloration on the flat part next to the raised ornate design(could just need a cleaning there) and some light scratching. Some more scratching on the back which would be normal. Some of the photos of the raised area look yellowish ... morebut it is silver like the rest. Up for sale is a set of serving trays. One large English Silver Manufacturing Corporation platter with handles and Silverplate Wm Rogers platter small. Large platter with handles is made by English Silver Manufacturing Corporation. However made in the USA. Markings show a silouette of a mans face in profile. With handles it measures 17 5/8 inch across. One handle is slightly loose, needs minor repair. Backside has some obvious wear and there is one dent, barely obvious on the front side. Please see the photograph of close up. Smaller platter measures 10 inches across it is made by WM Rogers there is a 0870 number printed on backside. Both platters have some obvious discoloration. This is a very heavy 8# 7oz Vintage English Silver mfg corp Made in USA large footed tray/platter. It measures across from handle to handle approx 26 x 14 1/2 and 1 1/2 inches tall. Interior measurements are approx 16 x 10 1/2 The platter is old and it needs a good polishing. it is dark from tarnishing. There are a few dark spots on it and a few green spots. The international silver co. tray is about 13.5 inches long and almost 8 inches wide. It stands at about 1.5 inches tall. Is about an inch and 1/2 deep and weighs a little less than 1 pound. Please use the pictures as part of the description. As you can see, the silver has worn and it could use a good fixing up. The other platter has a lid and on the bottom it says: English Silver MFG Corp. Made in US, and there are three stamps. One stamp looks like the profile of a woman, another says MRR with an S below those letters, and the last looks to me like a fancy letter"R" with two circles around ... moreit. I couldn't get a clear picture of these markings, so please feel free to ask questions if my description of them wasn't clear enough. Again, please use the pictures as part of the description. This platter is in better shape than the other. The silver is mostly intact but it could use a good cleaning and fixing up, as there is some wear on the bottoms and the lid handles, as well as some scratches and scuffs on the bottom of the platter. This platter measures about 11.5 inches long and 9 inches wide, almost 2 inches deep and stands at almost 3 inches tall, with the lid on. This piece weighs a little over 1.5 pounds. This nice tray. Serving dish has a 3 section insert glass tray. In a rayed starburst look and it's very nice, heavyweight glass. The glass section is 10 1/4 inches by 5 1/4 inches( in center) oval and fits in the recessed section of the tray which is 1 3/8" tall at ends and is 1 1/4" deep in center. The silverplate tray is 3" tall at ends and tapers down to center, 1 3/4" tall. Tray is 13" by 7" oval and contoured. bottom inside is decorated in a floral medallion motif. Here we have an absolutely Gorgeous and very large English Silver shell bowl or platter with a very ornate design! It has three"feet" that are impressed in the bowl. Smooth border around except for the"handle" which is the ornate detailed part. It is engraved with several things. One is ENGLISH SILVER MFG CORP 38, MADE IN USA then a shield with MRR and S under it, and what looks like a male's profile. It is HUGE at 16" by 13 1/2" and is 3" tall and weighs about 2.5 lbs. Great condition with no dings or corrosion. It needs to be cleaned and polished.

This is a lovely ornate silverplate 13" platter or tray. It was made by the English Silver MFG Corp. in the USA. The platter has a bd striking rim which raises off the surface in a wave like relief design. The platter also has a lovely etching which consumes most of the top if the platter. The platter is in nice shape but does have one area where the plate was worn or burned off. I've pointed that out in the photos. The platter could also use some cleaning.
