VINTAGE INDIAN SNOWSHOES ANTIQUES
From my research I believe these to be Native American snowshoes. The rich colors are mellowed. Leather bindings and simple straps and the tuffs of colored fabric along theouter edge of the frame these snowshoes were made.Not always, for women or children. They measure 42 1/2" in length and 12" at the widest oart. The pictures show some missing wrapping on the inside of each show. All in all they are in very good shape. A good addition to your collection.

TEFILLIN antiques and vintage. Genuine leather. one is open and the other one is close. Two PARTS OF THE TEFILLIN. BOTH THE ONE FOR THE ARM AND ONE FOR THE HEAD. Tefillin. Also called phylacteries, are a pair of black leather boxes containing scrolls of parchment inscribed with biblical verses. The hand-tefillin, or shel yad, is worn by Jews wrapped around the arm, hand and fingers, while the head-tefillin, or shel rosh, is placed above the forehead. They serve as a"sign" and"remembrance" that God brought the children of Israel out of Egypt. According to Jewish Law, they should be worn during weekday morning prayer services. I believe it was made by the Mine Safety Appliances Company in Pittsburgh. Pennsylvania. In used condition. Looks like it used to be black but was painted red at some point. These are very hard to find and are now obsolete. Looks like it is made of bakelite, a type of plastic used back then. Leather strap. Must have seen a lot in it's day. AUTHENTIC Pal-Bell menorah made in Israel. Made with green verdigris. The menorah surrounds a leafy olive branch sprouting out of the center(see photos) It is stamped underneath. The menorah measures approximately 11 inches tall X 7.75 inches wide X 3 inches deep. And weighs approximately 2 pounds, 13 ounces. ABOUT PAL-BELL In 1939 in Tel-Aviv. Israel, Maurice Ascalon(formerly known as Moshe Klein) founded Pal-Bell Co. Ltd. with the mission of creating tasteful decorative and functional metalwork and Judaica of the highest quality. From its founding in 1939. Until 1956, Pal-Bell- a.k.a. Palbell- created scores of distinct brass and bronze items. Its wares ranged from decorative bowls, vases, pitchers, trivits and ashtrays, secular in motif, often Art Deco in style; to traditional styled, Judaic-themed commemorative plates, candle sticks, ... moremenorahs, bookends, figurines and more. Maurice Ascalon. Who received formal artistic training in Brussels and Milan, was also Pal-Bell's chief designer. Through Pall-Bell, Ascalon introduced the use of green patina to Israel's modern metal craft industry. I try to describe items honestly and carefully and I believe my packing is fairly priced and outstanding in its execution! great nostalgic items- these are a pair of roving bobbins one paited yellow ends and one clearly stamped: KEIGHLEY"BOBBINS" T.J.
