Solid Maple Nightstands / End Tables
Two very nice solid maple nightstands or could be used has end tables if put back to wall. The wood is in great shape for age. The finish needs some touch up or use as is with aged patina and character. These nightstands were made by the forest furniture company which I believe went out of business. The inside drawer is marked Forest solid maple as seen in the pics on one of the nightstands. The drawers are dove tailed on the front and back. The gentlemans chest has lots of space for your clothes. 7 drawers on the left side and door opens up to adjustable shelves or set up to hang clothes if you take shelves out. These are hard to find in this great of condition. There are a few nicks here and there and there is one larger gauge in the back right corner(look at picture) Other than that its beautiful! Here is a fabulous vintage solid maple bedroom set by Kling. Marked as part of the Olde Orchard line out of Mayville, NY including double or full size bed with spindled headboard and footboard and wood rails which hook easily into the end pieces; a terrific 8 drawer dresser on built-in casters with optional large maple framed mirror which slides into brackets on the back; and two matching nightstands with the same shell carving and hardware as the dressers. All of these pieces are in good"gently used" condition overall with nice top surfaces as shown in my photographs. This lovely 8 drawer solid maple dresser measures 54 inches wide by 20 inches front to back by 36 inches tall. The mirror adds another 32 inches in height making the dresser 68 inches tall with the mirror in place. And measures 42 inches wide with supports that slide ... moreinto brackets on the back of the dresser to secure it in place when used with the dresser. The eight drawers are each 22 1/2 inches wide by 17 1/2 inches front to back and measure 3 inches, 6 inches, 5 3/4 inches and 6 inches in depth respectively in descending order from the top down. The nightstands measure 21 inches wide by 12 1/2 inches front to back by 25 inches tall. They have a lower surface 11 1/2 inches above the floor and a drawer below it 17 inches wide by 10 inches front to back by 3 inches deep. There is gold gilt paint which separates the two woods and which adds to the beauty and character of the tables. Ornate brass accents the wood. There is a pierced brass raised trim which borders most of the top circumference. There are large brass rosette swags/drops on each side of the drawer areas. The front legs of the table have large brass accents on their lower sections. The tables are more oval than round. They each have 3 functional drawers which are wood, not a composite. Sturdy and solid, clean, gorgeous mahogany wood, very light signs of age, the leather is in great condition, no scratches, mahogany wood also looks fine, light signs of use, some tarnish to the brass caps. I have to mention that on the back of each stand there are missing small pieces of wood 1 piece on one stand and 2 pieces on the other(pic. 12. On the top of the legs) it’s not visible when stands put to the wall. Overall it’s very rare to see pieces that old in such a good condition. It looks that both nightstand used to have casters. Solid wood, and Formica/laminate, and they are in good original condition. These beautiful Tables have a two-tone off-white/beige finish, with black/slate color finish highlights, and they are high-quality pieces with a gorgeous mid-century style design. One of the Tables has a drawer that is working properly, see pictures, and the second Table has a shelf on the top. These Tables have interesting Brass-finish accent pieces on the legs. See pictures.
