This stained glass panel is an original design of mine where I have incorporated 2 vintage plates that are about 6 inches across for each plate. The plates have a swirl pattern around a star burst in the center. There is a gold circle line around the star burst. Around the plates the glass is done in several different clear textured glass in a geometric pattern. The outside border is done in blue with white glass mix. The overall size of the panel is approximately 17 x 11. I want to note that the plates have a base about 1/2 high so the back side of the panel is not flat. This is to allow the front side to be flat to the edge of the plates where they then curve in for the plate. The panel can be hung in either direction as there rings in each corner. Each bookend is carved into a square and the front surface has beveled edges as well. One bookend has some water damage to the felt on the bottom but it does not appear that water touched anywhere else. Mid Century Modern walnut with rosewood handle hardware dresser by Stanley. This line is by far and away the best the Stanley offered in the era. In my opinion. I am selling the matching gentleman's dresser, or highboy, separately. Both pieces have been refinished, but missing veneer work was not done, so, as you can see in pics 4& 8 there is slight edge veneer loss at the front side corners. In pic 5 you can barely see that the veneer has been re-glued. There are a few nicks here and there, and there are hardware circles around a couple of the drawer pulls, where the handles have been rotated and made a circle in the wood around. The hardware, as well as the design, makes this piece much more eye catching, with steel pulls and horizontal rosewood tips on each pull. This piece measures 54" x 32" x 18" deep. For sale is an exhibition catalogue from the 1949 show of the art of Braque at the New York Museum of Modern Art. The book is soft cover measuring 10 inches by 7 1/2 inches and has 170 pages. The catalogue is well illustrated. The book is in good condition with scrapes and edgewear to the cover. There are signs of moisture damage to the lower pages.but minor. The insides are unmarked.
