With a single drawer that would make them equally suitable for either a bedroom or a living room as end tables! As you can see they have some wear and tear from the decades of use. One has some pretty deep gouges on the edge as shown and the other is missing the small brass round washer that goes between the drawer fascia and the knob, not noticible unless you are looking for it, but wanted to mention none the less. This paint is not recent. it is circa 70 years old. Tile has been applied to the tops of the stands at some time; I think they can be easily removed. There is some tile damage. DESCRIPTION Pair of vintage 1950s Drexel Touraine Nightstands. Drexel produced this stunning French Provincial furniture line in the 1950s and 1960s. Beautiful cream finish with gold accents. Still very popular and sought after today, very popular to refinish in newer, more trendy colors. Solid wood construction. Dovetail joints, everything you would expect from a higher-end furniture maker. The finish of these pieces are original. They are as found, I did not polish or clean either piece, the color is still beautiful, tho there is fine crazing, I've noted this in the photographs provided. The glass is included, one piece does have a chip in the back corner. One table has two hairlines, noted in the photos, they are not structural or overtly noticeable, look as if this was this way for many years only mentioned for accuracy. Pair Antique Continental Regency Side Tables or Nightstands w/Drawers and Shelf
Nicely formed. Elegant pair of continental Regency era end tables(or nightstands) with drawers and shelves. The bottom shelves are ringed to support art pottery or vases. These tables have been repaired long ago as can be seen in the pictures. The finish looks to be partially original and partially re-done in the first half of the 20th century. The overall patina is rich and warm. I believe the one drawer has a repaired facing and drawer pull. The drawer pull that is smaller and not circular shaped appears to be older and original. Despite these condition issues, this pair are sturdy and display very well. The drawer makes them additionally useful, especially as a nightstand. Additional pictures are available upon request. We are pleased to offer this EXCEPTIONAL pair of Mid Century. Vintage side tables or nightstands. This beautiful pair feature sleek, Mid Century lines with a Chinoiserie design. The pair are solid wood construction. They feature STUNNING, inlaid tops with a pattern that changes upon the angle at which they are viewed. The inlay design is a diamond pattern when viewed from above or when looking at the tables from the front or back sides. When looking at the tables from their side profiles, the inlay design is more of a 4 square pattern. The table tops are inset and there is a raised lip border. The tables are have 2 tiers. The lower tiers feature a large, woven rattan or cane face. This section is quite lovely with a nice, contrasting, light to dark brown color palette. The legs are wood and feature a carved bamboo design. The bases have a ... moreChinese Meander(Greek Key) trim feature for added interest. The tables do not have drawers but do, instead, have generous slide out trays. The trays have a black laminate surface. The tables are exceptionally well made. They were manufactured by Heritage(Drexel) Furniture Company and are dated 1973. They are in very good condition with minor signs of age/use. They are very heavy and are structurally sound. There are some minor surface scratches but nothing severe or too distracting. There are some bumps, bruises and various chips to the Meander trim, but not really noticable except upon close inspection. This is a gorgeous pair and are of extremely nice construction. The tables measure 21.5" tall. The tops are 25.5" squared and the bases are 26" squared. There is a distance of 13.5" between the upper and lower tiers. We are pleased to offer this beautiful pair of Mid Century(1960s) Hollywood Regency side tables or nightstands. The pair are extremely ornate and feature French Rococo details. The tables have pierced/filigree columns which are set upon stepped bases. The filigree pattern is ornate and Neoclassical. The columns have an ivory background color with antiqued gold on top. The table tops have a raised, picture frame design with the same, antiqued gold over ivory color that the columns have. The top surfaces are inset below the raised frames. The table top surfaces are BEAUTIFUL. They are multicolored in a painted technique that mimics eglomise, faux marble. The colors are slightly different on each table. PAIR MID CENTURY 1986 REGENCY MODERN LANE BLACK LACQUER BRASS NIGHTSTANDS TABLES
Very nice. HEAVY pair of Lane AltaVista, nightstands or tables. The pair feature black lacquered maple wood with brass trim. They have two large drawers on the front profile. The pair have rounded corners and are a nice combination of Mid Century Modern and Hollywood Regency. The pair are in nice condition with no structural issues. The lacquer has does have some scuffs and scratches as is common with this finish. These can be resolved with some black lacquer paint. The pair are marked on the backs and, according to their serial numbers, date to 1986. The nighstands measure 21" tall. 26" wide and 16" front to back. The drawers have an interior measurement of 22" wide, 13" front to back and 5" tall. Shipping via UPS with insurance provided for you. We will ship in 2 boxes. Paypal accepted. Thanks!
