Both nightstands have minor wear as is common in vintage furniture but are otherwise very nice. These chests were presented for many years by local furniture stores to girls graduating from the local high school. It is 3 1/4" high. 8 7/8" long and 4 7/8" wide. It has very nice color with the natural grain showing and cedar odor when opened. The outside has a smooth finished surface, round keyhole and rounded top edges. Inside has the natural raw cedar wood. The outside bottom is unfinished. A key is included to lock the chest. A very small nick is in the rear's upper right corner. These miniature"hope chests" were typically given away by furniture stores to girls nearing graduation from high school. This chest is made of cedar wood and measures approximately 9 inches long, 4 1/4 inches wide and 4 inches high. The Lane name and"Presented by John Tucker Furniture, Inc. are impressed into the underside of the lid. Most of the Lane label is still attached to the bottom of the chest. It has 4 felt cushions on the bottom. The hinges are in good condition and work well. It has a lock but I do not have the key. That was Originally a Salesman's Sample Produced for Furniture Companies that sold the Full Sized Lane Cedar Chests. The Chest measures 9"x 4 ¼"x 3 ¾" and is Super Clean. It is engraved Lane Cedar Chests Altavista Va. Presented by Stowers Furniture Co. on the inside top of the chest. These trinket boxes were generally given to high school seniors, or used as Samples. This box is in excellent clean condition and has only light wear marks on the inside and outside. The original key is included and locking mechanism is in great working condition! Outstanding vintage mid-century modern two-tiered end table made in the 1960's by Lane Furniture. This side or end table(no. 997-07) was made as part of the"Rhythm" collection. It is made from solid walnut. But has a lighter coloration, closer to teak. Clean, sleek modern lines were likely inspired by the Danish Modern movement. The underside of the table is stamped with serial numbers and the Lane mark. Overall, this table is in very good condition. However, there is some light wear and scratching consistent with use One watermark see photo. No breaks or repairs. The table stands 14 1/4" tall at the lower surface and 21 1/4" at the top tier. This Vintage Miniature Lane Cedar box has gotten more beautiful over time. The patina is rich and the wood grain is beautiful. To open the box and smell the cedar.is wonderful. This miniature Lane Company chest was originally used as a floor sample for salesmen of the Lane Company's chests. Though the majority of the larger chests were made from Walnut. Maple, and Mahogany, these small sample chests were made almost exclusively out of Cedar. This small chest measures 3 1/2 inches high. Is 9 inches long, and is 5 inches front to back. It weighs 17 ounces. OK condition. It has a few scrapes or scars on the finish it opens and shuts solidly and easily. This box does not have the key.
