1700- 1800's Sheraton chest/ dresser. Two toned wood. Hand carved and just a beautiful piece. I think it may be walnut and maple but could be mahogany too. Exquisite piece with the beautiful designed front and glove box on the top. This is one of the most beautiful pieces I have seen! I don't know the maker because I don't know alot about furniture so can't answer too many questions. If I guessed by looking at other ones listed on ebay it looks like a Sheraton but I don't know how to really tell for sure. But here is a description of Sheraton furniture and it is exactly like this chest with the marketry and different woods and straight and tapered legs. I do know it is very old and has the handmade handcut dovetail drawers. I am guessing the age to be circa 1700-1800's because of the handcut dovetails. Antique American Chippendale Maple Tall Chest of Drawers Circa 1770 Description: An American maple Chippendale tall chest of drawers. New England, circa 1770. The chest is almost certainly from the Boston area and has four graduated drawers over two short drawers, a molded top, and straight bracket feet. The hardware is period and possibly original, though there has been at least one other set of hardware on the chest in the past. Secondary wood is pine throughout. It has been refinished but has a nice warm honey color. Three of the four long drawers have their original locks. All the wood is original with no major repairs or restoration. The top has a split going across which has some stabilization blocks underneath. The sides also have splits running top to bottom on both side. Please view all photos carefully. Antique Serpentine Bird’s Eye Maple Tall Chest of Drawers
The table top has mother of pearl inlays and it is decorated with hand painted gold trim and a flower pattern. The same gold trim and flower pattern is continued on the base and the column. A pedestal base is rising from a stepped circular foundation on three feet. Condition: The table is in its original condition with beautiful patina. It is shows normal wear and tear for a piece of furniture made around 1860-70. Measurements: 41 ½ inches tall when the top is up. 28 inches when top is down and 26 in diameter. American 18th Century New England Tiger Maple Chest of Drawers, c. 1780-1810

Description: This listing is for a Federal Period Tiger Maple Four Drawer Bachelors Chest of Drawers. New England States circa 1780-1810. It features incredibly broad fully solid single boards making up the top and both sides- this is exceedingly rare in Tiger Maple, as that figure is difficult to capture in broad boards. The top is carefully molded of the solid, projecting out over the four graduated drawers. Each drawer is hand dovetailed front and back, constructed of pine secondary woods for the frame and bottom, the bottom chamfered along the edges to rabbet into the frame. They are nailed at the back, while also having sporadic original rose head iron nails through the dovetails- notes about the bottom drawer are further ... morediscussed in the notes below. The drawers feature period. But not original, bail pulls with original locks. The drawers are separated by drawer dividers that through dovetail at the sides with notched dovetails. The back of the case is cut of two heavily oxidized original solid oak boards, mitered where they meet to hide light as they shrink and expand. These are secured to the case with numerous original nails, but also have many modern nails as well. The top is mitered to allow the top of the chest to slide onto the dovetailed sides of the case, which allows the top to expand and shrink without extensive cracking; this is critical to preserve these precious solid boards. The case rests over original scroll cut bracket feet. Dovetailed along the sides of the front feet for incredible strength. Each foot is braced with what we believe to be fully original blocking, each with heavy hand carving and chiseling visible from the inside. This is a simply stunning bachelors chest. Delightful in it's dimensions and glowing in it's finish. It has been carefully preserved through the years to remain today in outstanding fully restored condition, with strength in all joints and a

The original drawer locks are all in place and in excellent working order using the beautiful key I had made.The top of the dresser has incredible patina and some of the finest grain figuring you will see.The top is first class all the way. All of the drawers were totally rebuilt and slide like silk. The drawers feature the sought after dovetail joinery. I restored the finish all by hand using a custom rich stain to achieve the highlighted rich burgundy followed by many. Offered for sale is a Beautiful Ethan Allen Vintage Maple Heirloom Lingerie Chest. This chest is item#10-5354 in the Nutmeg finish and features 7 drawers. Brass hardware and bracket feet. The chest was manufactured in September 1979 and can be found on page#152 of the 86th edition of the Ethan Allen Treasury of Beautiful Home Interiors. It measures 52" high x 24" wide x 17" deep. Overall the lingerie chest is in excellent condition with the exception of the top which has several scratches and dings. These show up more in the sunlight(see pics#8, 9, 10) and the bottom drawer does have a stain(see pic#11) I have discounted the price to reflect these finish issues. The Ethan Allen name is stamped in the top drawer and the date and item number appear on the back of the chest. It is not on every inch but scattered around the maple wood. Each drawer is beveled in a Bull's Eye shape. And over the top of each handle is a Ribbon shaped metal tag. There are: Almonds. Pittsburg Pennsylvania Maple Chest Of Drawers By Eichenlaub Furniture Co 1900's
This chest of drawers is from Pittsburg Pennsylvania. The Eichenlaub Furniture Company. The maple chest of drawers is wood with different color tone, the darker color on the trim and legs, the lighter tone on the drawers and top. The chest was probably made in the early part of the 1900's, my research showed the Eichenlaub Furniture Company from the late 1890's up to the 1950's. The chest of drawers is 46"h x 32"w x 19'd, have some damages from years of uses, but is still a beautiful piece of furniture. The top edge have a segment where the chest have been hit and left a big piece of wood missing, the patina from years have diminished the damage look. The back is made of thinner wood and have a lot of scratches, the top also have a lot of dings and scratches. The bottom of the chest on the left side have a missing ... morepiece of wood from the maple side( 18"h x 2"w) exposing a lighter internal wood. The front two legs are turn design and the back two legs are straight. The drawer pulls are replacement, the original would have been round wood knobs. The drawers pulls out easily. Exquisite Rare Butler's Desk Chest of Drawers Burled Maple and Mahogany
This is a Stunning solid Burled Maple and Mahogany Butlers Desk Chest of Drawers. It weighs approximately 250-300 pounds and measures 52” in height. 42 3/4” in width, and 21 ½”in depth. It features beautiful detailing and a deep rich patina. A large false drawer front drops to reveal a Burled Maple writing surface with six small drawers and a middle storage compartment all over three drawers flankled by twisted columns. I'm not sure of the date on this piece. I've had several antique dealers and professionals who looked at it and the concensus is between 1930-1950 possibly made in Ohio. It has had some professional restorative upkeep preformed on it and a repair a very old leg block split that was no doubt caused by the piece being pushed far too hard across. This piece has one drawer and a faux drawer facing on each of its ends. It has stunning turned and tapered legs and absolutely charming tiny brass leg cupped pivoting original caster wheels. Each the drawer and the faux facing are framed by birds eye maple cock bead moldings. The secondary woods are made from yew wood and pine with a wonderful red wash on it. The finish and surfaces are all in an untouched original good condition. The top has a few mars on it that are well within acceptable limits for an 18th century piece of furniture. A proper waxing will address this. Each leaf has finely crafted double wooden carved leave supports with hand carved wooden hinge systems. SHERATON MAPLE CHEST OF DRAWERS WITH ROUNDED GALLERY AND REMNANTS OF ORIGINAL SALMON WASH FINISH ca.1810- 1820 With our highest compliments comes this fine early Sheraton period maple chest of drawers. The chest of drawers is laid out with one large upper drawer over three smaller graduated drawers. Each drawer is finely dovetailed and faced with later replaced brasses but retains original early 19th century period brass escutcheons. The chest has a later finish but shows wonderful remnants of the original salmon wash finish. The four legs are original to the chest but have had small repairs throughout the years. The chest is in wonderful condition with exceptional signs of age particularly on the back. Bottom, and inside the drawers. It measures 41 1/2" long x 20" wide x 40" tall. Waring& Gillow of Lancaster, from the Edwardian period(circa 1910) This exceptional& handsome chest of drawers is constructed from solid maple with the drawer fronts having the very attractive'Tiger Maple' grain as can be seen. The two deep drawers to the left& right may well of been designed to store hats originally but provide very useful storage for a variety of items now. Each drawer benefits from solid brass handles again of great quality and the locks where manufactured by the renown locksmiths Henry Squire& Sons Ltd of Wolverhampton(all working with tasseled key) The three ... morelong graduated drawers move smoothly& fit perfectly as do the four above. The relief to the top of the chest is carved in the'Greek Letter' pattern. The entire piece stands on four bracket feet with a scalloped valance to the front& sides.
