You are bidding on an awesome pair of Mid-Century modern chairs. they are made by Calligaris and were made in Manzano Italy. They are in EXCELLENT very lightly used condition. There are a few very. Very tiny spots on the original leather seats there are no rips or tears or repairs. I am selling these as a pair and only offer local pick-up. These are hard to find, especially in this type of original condition. One of the black plastic gromets that helps hold the seat on, is missing on(1) chair, there are supposed to be(3) on the base of each chair. Baker Furniture has long been a prestige manufacturer of fine furniture. These two chairs are a fine example. Sophisticated design highlighted by gracious(but not overdone) curves. Sturdy construction, exquisite comfort, sumptuous fabric, and magnificent stitching and finish detail. Most probably dating from the 1960s, these chairs offer the modest scale of the period, and measure 27" high, 28" wide, with a seat height of 16" and a seat depth of 20" The upholstery is a subtly embroidered gold with navy piping. The chairs sit and look nearly as new—most likely they saw very little use at all. There is some light wear to the exposed portion of the legs that could be easily touched up. It was originally covered in Herculon but I reupholstered the chair in an Argentine Suede with a Robert Allen Fabric. I also have matching extra fabric for a pillow. Very retro, impressive, large ceramic figurine/statue of a black panther stalking its prey, mouth open. It measures 23 1/2" long by 5" high and 5" deep. Enhanced with emerald green rhinestone eyes. Deep shiny glaze. Giving the panther a slick patent leather appearance. According to my research. Haeger Potteries introduced these black wild cats in 1941, manufactured throughout the years in various sizes. They came with the Haeger paper label on the bottom, which I believe this panther lost over time. Instead, under each paw, are strips of tape, now showing age, soiled and dry, used as surface protection by previous owner. These types of decor items were used on top of TV's. The finish is mostly original and there are minimal vintage scuffs. No chips or cracks. The reverse of the back was scuffed in a small area and I touched it up with the correct dye and finish. Vtg 70s Mid Century Modern Department Store Display Window Art Liza Halston Era
Vintage 1970's Mid Century Modern department store display window art. These display art posters were used in the Chicago women's specialty department store"Evans" Evans has been out of business for about 2 decades. Furs were actually their main specialty. I worked at Evans in the 70's and was the Display Manager at the time of this window installation. The term"Visual Merchandising" was just evolving to replace the term Display Department. This poster art was to be"in the style" of Warhol- multiples in each display. Each of the store's 3 display windows had 12 of this image(see pic) This display window design was in tribute to Liza Minnelli who was appearing in a musical play in Chicago at the Schubert theater. The play. The Act" was in it's pre-Boradway try outs. it had a different ... moretitle in Chicago) The Schubert was across the alley from Evans loading dock where we would load our display van to go to suburban stores. This was in the summer of 1977- a hot summer. We caught glimpses of her several times through an open side door to the stage- she was just standing there in the theater lights. I tried calling her hotel to get her to autograph one of the posters, but never got through to her. The idea was to have one of the mannequins in the display be Liza(the one in the fur fling- it was, after all July- we couldn't have her in floor length mink) and the other mannequins were to represent fans surrounding her. The original drawing was by me that I drew from a newspaper photo from an article promoting the play. I then did the same drawing in black ink- but left the lips white. I then had enlargements made and hand colored the lips on each poster. There will be 3 of these for sale(One has sold- there are now two) this is number 3. Each one has it's own condition issues. They were all originally mounted on foam board. This one has no old tape on this one. It has the best condition on the outer edges- there are a couple of tears on the right side- see pic

I am offering this evening a really cool looking art deco style box signed on foil tag at bottom of box George Bullio. I have seen lamps and boxes with same label all dating to the 60's. this one is triangular in shape measuring 14 inches from point to point of the triangular shape. It is lined on sides on inside with thick white acrylic and lucite bottom. Outside of the box is a4 inch strip of gold or brass toned metal giving it a striking look. Now. Lucite has some scratches and gold band has a few spots of corrosion which may or may not polish out. All this indicative with age and use and appropriate, would make a great display box at shows with Bakelite jewelry or a great bureau box for your own jewelry. This lovely vase is in the Chinese style. With a flowering prunus branch at the center. In soft shades of yellow& green, and some white, the vase was made by Hyalyn, a pottery manufacturer in North Carolina. Circa 1960. Measures approx 7 5/8 inches high. 5 3/4 inches wide, 3 3/4 inches deep. Molded mark on underside“hyalyn 203” Overall condition is very good. With no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. The flip top is approx 9 1/8 x 5 1/4 when flipped to the flat position the desk top measures approx 37 7/8 wide. 4 drawers and two separate movable paper or in boxes are dovetailed. One drawer has a lock.the key has not yet been located but it may be somewhere. CONDITION: Desk in really good condition with the exception of a few ink spots.
