One of the tops in the cane has some minor damage from when something was dragged across the top but that is about it. The sleek and great looking bed was made in Denmark and is designed for an Eastern King Mattress which rests directly on the slats(no box spring required) The bed is very sturdy when assembled and breaks down flat for safer shipping and transportation. Each side has a floating nightstand with a drawer and lower open cubby for magazines etc. Overall the bed shows very nicely with only ... moreminor wear(some dark marks on the left side rails. Minor veneer chips on the lower part near the footboard- see pictures 7 and 8) which are not very notable but should be mentioned. The nightstands show nicely, I believe the tops were refinished at some point. There is some minor wear on the left side of one nightstand at the edge which in not very notable but should be mentioned(see image 6) The headboard is 2 pieces that clip together to the center upright piece. When the previous owner took the bed apart they slightly damaged the inside wood of the headboard where the screws that clip the headboard together go in- This is only visible when the headboard is taken apart and is very sturdy when assembled. There is a slightly raised bump from this on the lower part of the headboard from this repair(see pictures 9 and 10) however it is below the slats so it is never visible, especially with the mattress is place. This repair does not compromise the structural integrity of the bed. When assembled the bed measures 28.75" tall by 121.25" wide. We are pleased to offer this nice pair of Mid Century. Danish Modern, nightstands or side tables. The pair are sleek and feature 2 functioning drawers. They are made of wood with a dark stained finish. The table tops are composite wood with walnut veneer. The drawers feature brass hardware(handles) The pair have nicely contoured front legs and rounded, tapered back legs. They are very heavy and nicely constructed with each piece weighing about 30lbs. There are no manufacturer's stickers, but the backs are numbered and they are each dated 7/23/1965. They are in very good condition with minor evidence of age. There are a couple of minor nicks and surface scuffs that can be easily resolved. The tables measure 24" tall. They are 22" wide and 14.25" front to back. This is a beautiful pair of mid century modern nightstands. Made by Dixie. Both are in absolutely fantastic condition. There are a few very minor scuffs and some spots where the lacquer finish is starting to wear thin, but even this is nearly invisible after a quick wipe down with some furniture polish. I'm not sure what type of wood is used. I don't think it's teak, but it's beautiful. The drawers work perfectly, and are dovetailed, solid wood construction. Of course.
