But do have flaws.minor scattered scratches(these will clean-up just fine with some polish)and one table looks like it was refinished at some point, since it is slightly lighter in color than the other. Very hard to notice when they are inside(not in the sun! or when they are apart from each other.I didn't even notice until I had them outside for the photos. PAIR MID CENTURY MODERN WOOD END TABLES NIGHTSTANDS STRIPED PATTERN LAMINATE
We are pleased to offer this pair of Mid Century Modern end or accent tables. These tiered tables feature solid wood with laminate tops on each tier. The wood is quite nice and has a blonde(with a khaki undertone) finish that allows the grain to show through. The wood is not veneer. It is solid. The legs flare slightly. They feature a flattened profile that narrows in width toward the bottom. The top sections feature a wide wood band with the top inset and recessed. The bottom tier is not banded. Both the upper and lower tier feature uniquely patterned laminate tops. The laminate is white with a striated or striped pattern which is in a taupe/chocolate color. The pattern gives the tops a"woven" appearance. The tables are very nicely constructed. They do not have a manufacturer's mark, but they are very nice in both quality and ... moredesign. They are substantial in weight as well. They are in very good condition with only minor evidence of age and use. VERY NICE! Each table measures 26.25" tall. Dovetail joints, everything you would expect from a higher-end furniture maker. The finish of these pieces are original. They are as found, I did not polish or clean either piece, the color is still beautiful, tho there is fine crazing, I've noted this in the photographs provided. We are pleased to offer this fine pair of Mid Century nightstands or accent/side tables. The pair are crafted of solid wood and feature French. Louis XV style. They are a tiered design with an upper drawer and a lower shelf. The pair have curved front profiles and cabriole legs. The drawer has a large or ornate pull on the bowed front. A window pane/recessed panel is featured on each of the concave sides of the drawer front. The pair have BEAUTIFUL marble tops from Portugal. The tops are cut to perfectly match the curvature of the table tops. The marble is a rouge beige color with ruddy brown(a little red in the undertones) color to the veins. The marble is of the same slab as the colors are identical, but, you can tell that the vein patterns are different. No doubt, the slab had a varied pattern. This gives the pair a matched but interesting ... morelook. The tops sit freely on the tables and over extend the tables in size. The marble is stamped"W&Z Portugal" The tables are not marked. The pieces are in very good condition. They retain their original, golden pecan finish. There are some minor scuffs and surface scratches but, nothing distracting or severe. The marble is very good with no chips, cracks, etc. There are very minor and very light surface scratches that are practically unnoticeable. Mid Century Modern Bedroom Suite Furniture Dresser Chest Nightstands End Tables
Mid Century Modern bedroom suite designed by Barney Flagg for Drexel's Parallel line. Signed, dated 1960. Set includes: 72" 6ft long) 9 drawer dresser, tall chest, two nightstands, long mirror, tamboured door full size headboard. This is a very smoothly designed set. As Barney Flagg was a pioneer of minimalist California Modernism. These units have clean lines and the nightstands are excellent examples of American Modernism. Long dresser is 72" x 20" deep x 32" tall. The nightstands. That have their original white smoked glass adjustable shelves, are 22" wide x 16" deep x 25" tall. left stand has some wear on bottom- see picture 6) The tall chest is 38" wide x 20" deep x 42" tall. The large mirror, which was hung vertically, in my opinion would look striking hung horizontally on the wall ... moreabove the 6ft long dresser, measures 56.5" long x 32.5" wide. The tamboured door headboard, which is made for a full size bed, has a factory designed hole in the back for lighting. A few of the tamboured wood pieces have their tops missing- see picture 8.
