PR MID CENTURY FRENCH EMPIRE DIRECTOIRE BRASS TABLES NIGHTSTANDS MASTERCRAFT
We are pleased to offer this GRAND(both design and scale) pair of Mid Century(1970s) solid brass. Side tables or nightstands. The tables, are not marked, but are of extremely nice quality, in the manner of Mastercraft. The tables are commanding in presence and feature oval tops with substantial, squared, column legs. The legs are fluted/reeded, and sit atop squared, stepped bases. Unique, brass"c" scroll(half circle) mounts are located on top of each leg and the oval perimeter tops are attached here. The tables are extremely nice quality and are VERY HEAVY, weighing almost 40lbs each without the glass tops attached. There are fixed bumpers recessed in the brass to cushion the glass. The tables have a crossed, Campaign style stretcher supports. The tables are in very good condition with some, very minor, patina/age spots in only ... morea couple of areas. The listing is for the bases only HOWEVER. We are including the original glass at no additional charge. It is in good condition with some very minor surface wear. It sits slightly recessed on the top so that it is level with the table perimeter. This is a FABULOUS pair of tables with unique features and exceptional quality. PLEASE NOTE: We do not normally ship glass as it adds to the shipping costs and most shippers will not insure it. However. We are pleased to offer this beautiful pair of elegant. Antique to older vintage(1940s) side tables or nightstands. The pair are Mahogany wood and feature Chippendale and Campaign details. The tables are 2 tiered with open fretwork supports between the tiers. A gold, metal medallion accents the fretwork. The upper tier has a raised, scalloped ledge on 3 sides of the perimeter. The tables have incised, fluted, squared legs which taper toward the bottom. The tables are quite gorgeous. They are in very good structural condition. They are sturdy with no wobbling. Cosmetically, the tables have aged and do have an aged appearance. The original finish has crazed so the tables have a crackled appearance. The tops of both tiers, as well as the aprons, have been painted(at some point) in black. Description This is a pair of antique 1920s-1940s French Nightstands in a Shabby Chic style paint. The paint looks like it is the original 1930s era paint and is a great decorative color. They measure 39 inches in height. 14.5 inches in depth, 15.5 inches across the front. They are nice tall and slender nightstands and will hold a lot. The drawers are an oak wood so you know they were made of quality workmanship because they used an expensive wood when they ade them. I believe the dovetails on the drawers look all hand dovetailed which maes it better quality again. There is some typical normal wear to the paint after 70-80 years. The legs are all in good condition,t he drawers work properly. It is a nice pair. Due to the size and there being a pair of these i cannot ship these out by normal means. We are pleased to offer this exquisite pair of Mid Century Vintage. French Art Deco styled console chest tables or nightstands. The pair are wood and feature exteriors of burled Amboyna or Maple veneer with beautiful patterns and a light to medium, golden brown color. The pair are demilune but, rather than half round, they are half octagonal in shape which gives them triangular lines. They are wonderfully sleek in design and are not overly deep. The pair have double doors with very large and ornate brass, door knocker pulls. The doors have faux paneled exteriors which are accomplished with geometric brass trim which is attached with brass nails, not glued. The pair are mounted on burled bases with three, substantial/thick, curved brass legs attaching the cabinets to the bases and providing an opening between the cabinet and base sections. ... moreThe interiors have an adjustable wooden shelf as well as a fixed, bottom storage shelf. The cabinet sections are completely opened inside and are not divided. The backs are wood. The pair are not marked but are of very good quality. They are in very good condition with some cosmetic evidence of age. The veneer does have some cracking which is pretty common but it is not severe or distracting. There are a few scuffs around the perimeters of the tops and bases which. Again, are not terribly distracting or severe. The brass has an antiqued brass finish which has also aged somewhat over the years, but does still retain the brass color. The pair are extremely beautiful and unique in design. The pair measure 34.25" tall. 30" wide and are 11" deep at the deepest measurement. The interiors are 27.5" tall, 27" wide and 9" at the deepest. Shipping via UPS with insurance provided for you. Beautiful pair of French. Louis XV or Provincial nightstands/tables. The pair date to the early 1960s are were manufactured and are marked DREXEL(pre Drexel Heritage) and were part of the Trentino collection. The pair feature double front doors with wire fronts in quatrefoil pattern. There is a single drawer beneath the doors. The pair are maple with a medium stained finish. They are beautifully constructed and are incredibly sturdy and strong. They are in very good condition with some evidence of age/use. The tops do show some age in their coloring. This can be resolved but, as is, they have a beautifully aged character. The pair measure 24" tall. 24" wide and 16" front to back.
