They are made ... moreof cherry with a chocolate brown stain. Golden highlights are present as well. The pair have cabriole legs with carved. Acanthus leaves as well as ball and claw foot details. The apron sections are extremely detailed and ornate. They feature a carved/incised acanthus scroll and shell pattern which is present on all 4 sides. The tops are in a stepped design and are very thick. There is a recessed, window pane feature which is designed for a glass top. The tables are very nice. There are no manufacturer's marks but there is a patent sticker present. They are very sturdy though not exceptionally heavy. There are just a few and very minor nicks and slight scuffs which are not distracting and which can be resolved. The original glass is not present but should be very easy and inexpensive to replace. These are beautiful! Please note that we have the matching sofa table listed separately. The tables are rectangular and can be placed as you choose since the aprons are the same. Nicely formed. Elegant pair of continental Regency era end tables(or nightstands) with drawers and shelves. The bottom shelves are ringed to support art pottery or vases. These tables have been repaired long ago as can be seen in the pictures. The finish looks to be partially original and partially re-done in the first half of the 20th century. The overall patina is rich and warm. I believe the one drawer has a repaired facing and drawer pull. The drawer pull that is smaller and not circular shaped appears to be older and original. We are pleased to offer this beautiful pair of elegant. Antique to older vintage(1940s) side tables or nightstands. The pair are Mahogany wood and are in the Regency style with Chippendale influence. The tables are 2 tiered with open fretwork supports between the tiers. A gold metal medallion accents the fretwork. The upper tier has a raised, scalloped ledge on 3 sides of the perimeter. The tables have incised, fluted, squared legs which taper toward the bottom. The tables are quite gorgeous. They are in very good structural condition. They are sturdy with no wobbling. Cosmetically, the tables have aged and do have an aged appearance. The original finish has crazed so the tables have a crackled appearance. The tops of both tiers, as well as the aprons, have been painted(at some point) in black. The paint does not cover up the age/use marks ... moreon the surface. On the contrary, it actually highlights the imperfections to add to the aged character of the pieces. The fretwork has some golden highlights on the interior areas. We are pleased to offer this lovely pair of antique(very early 20th century) side tables or nightstands. The pair feature solid oak bodies and mahogany tops with stunning. Crotch mahogany veneer. The tables feature finely carved details on the perimeter of the tops as well as on the upper sections of the legs. The perimeters have a notched"feathered" carving and the legs feature carved acanthus leaves. Some of the legs have a quarter sawn pattern. The feet are hooved and are pointed at the tips. The mahogany tops are slightly inset. They feature the distinctive, book matched, crotch cut veneer which is accomplished in a 4 section parquetry. The tables have scalloped aprons which are attached to the table tops via old, flat screws. The legs are attached to the tops via dowels. Hi; This charming full-size oak bed comes complete with headboard. Foot board and side pieces(not pictured) There is a lovely basket of flowers carved into the head and foot boards as well as some additional details. It measures 60" tall by 55" across. The matching nightstands also have the floral detailing and come with brown and white marble tops. The hardware is original and there is a drawer. Door, and shelf. The measurements are 16" wide x 15" and the height is 32 inches. There is a small divot out of one of the marble pieces which I did not notice until photographing. These nightstands are in very nice used condition as detailed under the condition section above and shown clearly in my multiple photographs. These cabinets were obtained through an old Charleston family estate sale and are a somewhat rare and special find in such nice condition. These nightstand stand 49 1/4inches tall to the top of their carved decoration with a surface height of 33 1/4 inches above the floor and measure 21 inches wide and 15 1/4 inches front to back. Antique triple armoire, including dresser, 2 nightstands & bed w/sale Italy
Awesome burl walnut triple armoire. Imported from the south of France around 2002 or so. Made in Italy. We were told it dated to about 1902- I have found similar dated at 1906. I would say pre-1910 with some confidence. Armoire measures 10 and l/2 foot wide! Six doors. Comes completely apart for transporting. Exterior of armoire in wonderful 100+ year old condition with only minor wear and tear. Inside left and right are closets which had metal rods which were no longer there when we purchased, but mounting hardware is present. Middle doors have 2 drawers and a shelf was added for audio visual equipment but is unfinished. I can be discarded if not wanted. Dresser has a few breaks in the filigree on the bottom. Has a glass top which we believe is original to the piece or at least a part of it for many many years. The headboard, footboard and ... morerails are in good condition with exception of a few breaks in the filigree. Bed is estimated to be queen, but we only used the headboard as we have a king bed and have no idea if a standard queen will fit without some adjustment. We were told that there are companies that build some sort of retrofit kits to adjust for odd sized beds but we never investigated as we were happy with it as we used it. We are selling the armoire at our list price and giving the pieces with minor flaws at no cost. This item will be local pickup only in Fountain Inn. South Carolina(suburb of Greenville) Sold as is.
